There’s nuthin wrong with wanting abs, but I’m still trying to figure out at what point this utter preoccupation with the mid-section got started. If the web had been around when I first got into training I can’t imagine posts in a forum like this where guys would be asking about abs before adding 25% of their beginning lean bodyweight to their overall frame. No offense to this particular guy.
this thread is far from hardcore. Heavy squats will work you core.
do those rambo shits things like twist with a bar behind your back on a decline crunch bench.
cept use like a 45lb bar
what the fuck is goin on here?
Heavy exercises, squats, deadlifts, overhead presses…pretty much what everyone else is saying. plus you have to have a low bodyfat for them to show.

that was my goal when i started (i was ~120lb when i started) and now i am 155 @ 5 9, but i’m a skinny fucker still, even thou non-training people try to tell me otherwise.
I think the take home message is that non-training people don’t know shit, or perhaps they want to stop people from making them look lazy, unhealthy and skinny/fat slobs.
