Strength Focused Mesocycle by Chad Waterbury

I’m no expert on the topic, but the answer is probably not too far from do low rep work and don’t increase your calories.

Obviously you would train with the maximal and dynamic effort method and keep your assistance exercises low and maintenance calories. But one thing i would advise to you is to keep your work capacity up. I’ve finally realized how important work capaciy is and i figured it out on accident. I worked at a lumber yard this summer and lifted heavy things all through out the day and at first i felt a lil burnt out when i trained but then my strength started to sky rocket. But once i stopped working there strength gains started coming much slower again.

Pavel Tsatsouline wrote a book:
“Power To The People!: Russian strength training secrets for every American”.

Pavel is focused on stength training without weight gain.

I have the book on my desk right now. Get yourself a copy.
