Hey all, I just got my Inzer Power Pants in the mail the other day and tried to get them on last night around 10:30 when I got home… I thought they were way to tight but I just called Inzer and they said I should try baby powder and might even need 2-3 people to get them on! Does this sound right? I just got them to help rehad a strained hip flexor (I thought I had a labrum tear but thats a negative!).
I’m not supposed to do full squats or deadlifts for around a month and i’ll start useing the pants once I start back into it. I can however do ANY other lowerbody expercise that doesn’t get into the low range of motion, which is great.
Ok so yeah, any tips on getting them on by myself (don’t always have a training partner)? Thanks in advance!
patience. The first time is always the hardest. Pull them with your hands as high up as possible and then use your fingers to pinch the fabric and inch them up little by little the rest of the way. It will take a while. Lunges will help get them seated
yep pull them up step into a side lunge each direction, pull some more, etc, etc, ; make no mistake powerlifting gear is not about comfort. I rarely wear briefs but i use a size that would be considered too big for competition just for a little added support.
Thanks All! I am going to give it another go tonight, play around with them, I’ll see if i can comondear soome tights or something from my girlfriend or sister, or mom…
And Steve, I think they might be hard to get on you!

Actually, the tights might work better than suit slippers. Let us know how it goes. For my bench shirts, I use these long womens socks- basically panty hose material. I cut the toe out of the socks and use them on my arms a suit slipper. They have a have short life- tears easily- but they are so cheap it doesn’t really matter. Tights would probably work the same way.

I tried using panty hose before getting suit slippers. While I did look incredibly sexy, it did not work out so well.
I’ll have to try the socks thing though, thats a good idea
I got em on! No stocking, panty hoes, or bags needed. I Yanked them on as far as i could with my hands, and then just started wiggling around kinda and they just rose up, then started lunging around the room (to my girl friends amusement) and BAM! no problem! Thanks again for the help everyone!
Iv been thinking about getting a pair of the power pants. Inzers website says that they are fine for working out in…are they the sort of things that would be comfortable enough to wear for an hour or so while lifting or are they going to cut too much?

They won’t cut you, but I definitely would not describe them as comfortable. I would take them off after finishing squatting.

Thanks Matt! I had heard things about them ranging from them being like heavy compression shorts to squeezing the begeezus out of your thighs and cutting like a suit would.
My experience with the minimal time i wore them after getting them on, I wanted to take them off! Once I do full squats again (anything that doesn’t bother my hip is fine to do) in about a month I am going to wear them for only my squats, then run (waddle) to the locker room and peel them off and watch my thighs pop out of them like a roll of Pillsbury’s biscuits!

I was under the assumption that the power pants were what you see strongman competitors wearing since those look to be more than just compression shorts…do you know what those are? Just a singlet or are they some sort of brief?

Depends on what you are talking about. Talking World’s Strongest Man, they usually wear squat suits in the squat and have a shirt over it. Otherwise they are typically wearing some sort of rehband-ish shorts (the blue ones).

Thanks Matt…I was referring to the rehband shorts.
It may just be me but I’ve tried a pair of Inzers and they cut to the point that they were unusable. I have since switched to Titan squat briefs and their Centurion NXG Super+ suit. They are much more comfortable and (for me at least) seem to provide better support.
Something I’ve used to squeeze into a suit/briefs for the first few weeks is a pair of Under Armor compression shorts (see “gay biker shorts” in the dictionary). Put your briefs on up to your knees, then put on the compression shorts upside down and pull them all the way up so the bottom of the legs are up to your crotch. This gives the briefs a smooth surface to move up your legs on. Once in place, you can slide the shorts out off and you are ready to squat. They are the poor man’s slip-ons.
