im 17 years old and im currently a high school junior. What should i do as a workout daily, and what kinds of meals should i eat to optimize fat loss and show a gain of muscle? ive tried for 3 years now to slim down and gain muscle to no avail…can i please have some help with meal plans and/or work out routines?
My advice would be to just read through the articles for awhile. Yes it takes time but it’s all there at your fingertips. It’s cool to talk to folks when your new but if you start to ask newbie questions that have been answered already countless times will get you flamed.
A well thought out question goes along way around here. Keep a training and food log till you get the hang of it. It sucks but it works.
My 2c and read, read, and read some more. Just don’t fall into the analysis paralysis trap.
Having said that Jim Wendlers 5/3/1 might be a good place to start to get the main lifts down to get a good foundation started.

i’ll agree with bond, but also imitate the people who have physiques you admire, and don’t be afraid to ask them questions. don’t ask a fatass for weight-loss advice or a weakling for strength advice.

For starters, ask as many questions and read as much as you can like has been said, but no matter how much you read and learn, the biggest thing is consistency in training and quality food. That means meat and veggies and include some good carbs at every meal and hit the gym at least 4 times a week. Start a log and ask quesions and ppl here will help you progress if you’re willing and eager.
