Not bought, but played, had a hell of a lot of fun with the online mode Hunter, really intense play and I applaud the idea to implement it.

The upgrade system in single player is a little sparse for me, I’m not a huge fan of how they set up the progression to getting upgrades into little ‘collectible’ style packages. Not a hell of a lot of upgrades to choose from in and of itself.

The guns are incredible though, there’s a hell of a lot of variety and I really enjoyed this cool kind of lightning Sniper Rifle they show off somewhat towards the beginning of the campaign.

Lol @ Crysis on consoles
That’s why I’m excited about the new consoles. They’ve been holding back games for years. All rumours point to AMD hardware with 4-8 x86 cores, which should mean much better console ports and that games will finally be able to use more than the 1-2 cores most games are limited to today.

And possibly some cash for AMD, who can’t keep up with intel in the really high end segment any more.

If valve enters the market with their steambox, we’ll see some real competition.
Crysis 3 looks pretty good on the 360, it’s very crisp.

Hunter is a ton of fun. I like the new hardcore deathmatch modes as well.

Its been 2 years since WoL’s release, so its about time.

Havent heard much about Judgement. but loved the gears series so definitely getting it.

The Vengeance trailer they released is a huge mindfuck on where most people thought the story was going(for the people that still care about that in their Starcraft).

WTf? Playstation 4 games run 100 bucks a pop?

Fuck. You need a college education and a masters just to be able to afford to play.

I was looking at the prices amazon.com has for the games beign released.

Watch dogs is $99. Other titles are over 100.

They call it a “placeholder” price…but damn…some titles on the PS3 got up to 80 bucks. It looks like video game production is the field to be in.

Dude, F that man. God that pisses me off. Shit, it might be time to hang up the controller.

They make it sound appealing with the upgrades to performance for the entertainment aspect…but I won’t be buying many games if it costs that damn much for one.

They will soon make this so “exclusive” that the only people playing it will be true hardcore gamers or people with so much disposable income that throwing a benjamin at this won’t make them twinge.

I should be able to play a game and get a different end result each time for 100 bucks.

Shit, you should be able to swing on webs through San Andreas or fight Mortal Kombat style in Gotham for that much.

I can see $100 for some titles. Skyrim, for example. I played that game more than probably 80% of the rest of my library combined. Fall Out 3, I bought for both PS3 and Xbox 360.

There is no way in hell I’d buy more than 3-5 games a year @ $100 bucks each. Especially when half of them turn out to be shit.

The system must cost close to $800-1,000 (probably not) if games are that costly. I’m not buying a PS4 if games are $100 (big emphasis on IF as we still don’t know) and they are getting rid of being able to buy and play used games and even more so I cannot play my PS3 games on the updated version. I think this is where the politics are coming in on trying to cash in as much money as they can from consumers when they should be talioring their market to the consumers not for their own benefit.

I’m going to make my PC as planned and keep to my PS3. I have so many games I have yet to play on PS3. Even at $65 (CND) a pop keeps me from wanting to buy new. They lost me as a customer.

I read somewhere used games will still work. I don’t think it’s backwards compatible though.

Last time they sold consoles at a huge loss and tried to make up for it in game sales. So there’s an inverse realtionship between game price and console price.

Second, I don’t think games will end up that expensive. Early placeholder price for people who MUST book games now for some reason.

Third, the hardware in the consoles is a lot cheaper than what they used in the PS3 at launch. It should be cheaper than the PS3 at launch.

Jack Tretton, who has some power at Sony (just CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America), stated PS4 games will be in the $60 range. I guess “$60 range” could mean $69.99 technically.

I’m guessing Amazon is just trying to cover their ass, like for example they have PS4 pre-order price at $999. Due to their pre-order policy they can always lower the price but not raise it (you are locked into the lowest price).

Saying “used games will work” is one thing, but the question I have is how will they work? If you have to pay $5-10 to “unlock” single player parts of used games - similar to how the online passes currently work, that’s misleading but technically correct to say “used games will work”.

On the one hand I agree, on the other hand, if you consider how much time you spend on a really good title, how much is that really?
