I think I may cancel my cable now. You can watch their movies immediately without even waiting for a download unless it is only available on dvd.[/quote]

X…What have you been doing with your PS3 all this time?? You sound like an old lady with a new cell phone. “What?? This thing can get on that internet thingy?” “Hey did you know that I can take a picture with this phone?..Amazing”

Dude your the leader of the Black Justice league and all but with all due respect. WTF??

Netflix has been available on the PS3 for going on two years now. The Conan Demo has been available for about two years. Explore your system dude it might surprise you.

Also, we have a Black President & Michael Jackson is dead. Just in case you were out of the loop.

2 years - damn! Scratch that - I misread an article:

“If you instantly watch movies and TV shows from Netflix on your PS3, here is the news youâ??ve been waiting for: starting Monday, October 18 youâ??ll be able to instantly watch movies and TV shows without inserting an instant streaming disc into your console.”

I cancelled my cable last year. My wife and I have an amplified antenna so we can pick up all of the local channels and get the news etc. Anytime we want to watch something for entertainment however, we just stream. Also, I will be playing AC3 and have a ps3.

Dude, this shit was not on my ps3 until I got the new one. I also didn’t see a Netflix logo until this week.

Either way, there is no need for cable now aside from watching sports and I think that is some pretty cool shit.

I watch a ton of movies and having this shit streamed straight into the house for 8 bucks a month will save me money big time.

I just hate that so many of the tv shows available are only on dvd.

Between this and the PS Network, I am digging where the future is headed.

^ Question. With the future do you forsee the movie theaters going the way of the drive in theaters? I mean if movie makers can reach even more by just bypassing the movie theaters would they do this?

Movie theaters were nearly tanked before the new crop of super hero movies. I and most people know had quit going to movies until around the time Spiderman was coming out and Batman Begins. There is simply no need to spend 30 bucks for two people to enjoy a movie when you can have 10 friends at the house and watch it in the comfort of your own home and big screen tv.

I give them maybe another 10 years before they start closing doors…unless they advance movies beyond 3d and include other sensory stimuli.

^ Well interesting you brought that part up with 3D TV I really think it will happen sooner. I have to drag my wife to the movies cause of the dumb ass people around you. If I could get a new movie on my home TV I would be all over that.

What is the multiplayer like for AC3? Just running around MMORPG style killing things?

^ Yes

X if you get Gameinformer they have an article about Assassin Creed brotherhood this month.

Agreed, only problem I find with watching it at my house is that someone is always talking or making jokes. I really never had that problem in a theatre it could be that the volume just drowns them out.

Some sort of extra features would be awesome. A few years back at universal studios they had a terminator show that added mist, and smell. That would take the movie experience to a whole new level.

There are quite a few movies that I would prefer not to smell.

But I’m sure it’d be a nice addition for some films.

You mean going to see a horror film where you smell blood and guts would not entice you…

When I saw Avatar I thought it would be awesome if some smells, breeze/wind, or mist were added.

Nice theory until someone has an asthma attack and dies.

Oh god, you always gotta watch out for “those” people.

I prefer watching movies at home anyway, my last 3-4 cinema experiences have been with lots of idiots talking and on their phones.

Fallout New Vegas has been patched 3 times and is finally playable. Incredible game, I’ve been enjoying it more than Fallout 3 since the bugs/glitches have been taken care of. Anyone else playing this?

Yes about 14 hours in, shake my head in shame. Question does the patches download automatically?

Just picked up a HTC Mozart 7.

Windows Phone 7 is AWESOME.

Slick, responsive, easy to use and very visually appealing. It’s got XBOX Live and Office integration too.

Serially, if you’re looking for a new smartphone check out their range of new phones just launched before buying another iPhone.
