I agree. I’ve been overly impressed with my PS3. Music, pics, games, movies, etc. Works well as a one stop for most of your entertaining needs. Not terribly robust with detailed capabilities within each area of the afore mentioned, but for what it is, it does well. You can upgrade your hard drive smooth as butter too. I up’d mine from 80gb to 500gb for around $80.
The beginning was a little rough games wise (damn Xbox makes some sexy looking titles compared to early PS3 releases) but playstation has done a good job coming out with some impressive games lately and I think will continue to do so.
Uncharted 1 and 2 (and eventually 3) as well as the GOW series are well worth your time.
Oh, and does anyone else’s PS3 (fatty) sound like it’s about to head into orbit after a couple hours running?

AC Brotherhood looks awesome. I have the AC2 and that was the shit even though it pissed me off when Ezio decided to randomly jump to his death/desynchronization instead of climbing.

About Left4Dead… what made that game awesome was not just the massive killing, but really the teamwork. Me and 3 friends sometimes would come home drunk at like 4am, and just game for an hour, talking over ventrilo and shit. It was fun as hell.

Well, we endured people acting like the PS3 was a waste of money because of the “lacking library”…yet now that it isn’t lacking so much and Blu Ray has caught on the way it has, it seems like maybe we can return the favor a little.
I like my PS3 and have had a sony since the first PS1. It is a great piece of machinery and I like letting the people who shit on it before know that.
I needed to take a cold shower after watching that Assassin’s Creed trailer. God damn.
I have loved Sony for a long time, but now have given up on consoles all together for a PC. I play whatever I want, and enjoy it a whole lot more as well. I don’t need to upgrade to the new console, I just dropped a new video card in my beast and let it go (Radeon 5870).
I also enjoy not having to pay to play most games online, unlike Xbox Live and the new Playstation Network (which is now going to cost $50 a year).

im surprised at the new direction of the metal gear solid series. i enjoyed the games for being stealth based, but the recent trailer implies otherwise. this is a great example of how the motion controllers can be used properly though.
