OK…after playing that game some more…it is basically for teenagers. And even then I am not sure the average 16 year old will choose this over shooting something in first person. Good concept, poorly executed.

They need an open world game with about 60 different “missions” and maybe 10 different plots. Spiderman should always be free roaming for it to be good.

The only way this game will redeem itself is if it turns out to be free roaming after you beat it.

The best part of the game:

They should have made the whole game about “dark Spiderman” (or Noir Spiderman) which is set in the “40’s” or similar. Hiding in the shadows and taking people down with stealth moves was cool and should have been the whole focus of the game…but I guess they would have caught flack about imitating Batman to some degree.

The game is almost worth getting just for the Noir Spiderman story line alone.

2099 Spiderman just gives you a headache.
OH DEAR GOD! PROFESSOR X HAS BEEN BEHEADED!! Who will lead the Black Justice League now!
I elect Big Boss.
See, that’s just like black folks. The HNIC loses his skull for a second and fuckers start plotting to replace him.

LOL @ you guys

How did I miss this thread?

 1. For Mass Effect 2 fans: the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC is good and worth getting. Good story, as always, from Bioware. But, of course, I may be biased. Liara was one of my favorites from ME 1 and I consider ME 2 the the greatest RPG ever. I just finished it again for kicks.

 2. I’m ditching cable for my HTPC setup. It’s almost as good as cable, but better in some ways too. Much cheaper in the long run, too.

Resident Evil Afterlife.

You fuckers didn’t even let me know this was in production.

You know man, i dont know about that movie. The previews made it feel like The Matrix. The usual standard is that movies get crappier and crappier with each sequel, and i do not think Resident evil will be breaking that mold. I mean, yes i will still see it, but i am prepared to be disappointed.

Out of the Blue, anyone here play Heroes of Newerth (the new DoTa) ?

I know alot of people hate the movies since they went off into their own universe but enjoyed them as mindless action flicks. From the trailers this looks like it’ll have a ton of action plus there is suppose to be a epic wesker fight.

I’m a fan of the movies even though I do think every sequel has had huge faults.

The second one should have been less action and more horror.

The third was ok on the sci fi angle, but they nearly erased the creepiness because it was all in day light. the only “horror scenes” were when they were investigating rundown buildings.

Honestly, the first one is what brought back the ZOMBIE era. Before that movie, there hadn’t been one zombie movie in about 25 years or so. After that movie, we got Dawn of the dead, Zombieland and others.

The deserve credit for that.

I never even knew up until a few days ago.

I’ve been a fan of the series since the start, but I’m not sure I’ll make it to the cinema to watch it - I’ll wait till it’s out on DVD instead.

Just picked up the Samsung Fascinate yesterday. One of the sexiest pieces devices I’ve ever held, on par with the iPhone 4 (but does not feel as high quality - duh).

Battery life so far has been great but lithium ion batteries typically require 8-10 charge cycles before you start seeing accurate charge retention.

Will report back…and yes, you can remove Bing.

Got it for $100!

Is that without a contract?

That’s awesome. The screen on those things is insane - Samsung has really been stepping up their game. If I’m not happy with any WP7 devices, this is a definite purchase for me. How is your HTC, did you give that up?

Yes, that was with contract. Buy One Get One + Upgrade eligibility + $100 rebate card that I had = 2 phones for about $100 each, instead of $199 each.

I love my HTC Incredible, but ever since flashing a custom kernel that is supposed to better regulate the CPU’s voltage draw, I’m getting worse and worse battery life. The Samsung screen blows the HTC’s out of the water, not just indoors but especially OUTDOORS. Plus, the Fascinate is so damn thin - thinner than the iPhone 4 I think (barely) and the battery can last me a full day, no problem.

Plus, the Samsung Galaxy S series - Fascinate, Epic 4G, Vibrant, Galaxy S (intl. version) - are supposedly the easiest phones to root. THe HTC Incredible has probably the most active dev community, which is awesome, but I couldn’t get over the battery life.

What’s odd is that some people can get 1.5 days on the stock HTC battery. I’m not sure if it has anything to do with the switch to SLCD panels due to the Samsung AMOLED shortage. The first batch of HTC Incredibles used AMOLED and the screen is pretty nice, but nowhere near as good as the Samsung’s.

I have a ton of accessories and nice cases for the Incredible, so hopefully I can get some good money for it.

First Cap pictures not bad not great but I’ll take it

Stunt Double.

Nice suit though.

I just bought this laptop used from my boss for $150. I’m going to assume I got a hell of a deal…I did right?

Sony Vaio

16.5" screen
Dual core
Vista home premium
140 GB hard drive
32 GB operating system
128 Video card
Blue-ray
4 usb ports

It’s been used literally six times since he bought it last year. His wife didn’t like the keyboard lol.

I’m buying it for my sons B-Day and he’s gonna shit bricks when he see it! I want to keep it for myself I must admit but he needs it for school.

Questions:

Will this laptop play new kill games well? Is it powerfull enough?
Do laptops get to hot after playing a game after a couple hours?I know I have to get a keyboard and mouse to play.

Are Sony laptops reliable?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Epic deal Mr. Bond - that’s a real bargain price IMO.

128mb video card suggests on board graphics card which would mean it won’t handle any big (new) graphics games very well. If you can get the graphics card name or model number I can give you a more concrete answer, or the laptop model.

I’m not sure about Sony laptops per se, but from what I hear they’ll be fine playing games. The main brand with overheating problems is HP. Sony’s are pretty reliable, yes, and while it may get warm/hot while playing games, it won’t overheat.

Once thing I will strongly suggest is getting a copy with Windows 7 as soon as you buy it. Vista SUCKS.

Anyone have any inside info on T-mobile’s G2? Looks to be coming out later this month and can’t wait to preorder it, but not concrete info has been released yet.
