Looks like you’re pretty accurate. I still feel like it took me closer to 20, but this was a few years ago that I played through it.

Uncharted 2 and 3 clock in around 10 hours, if its as awesome as those games it will be worth it. Ill wait for the reviews first
It’s funny you say that. When I read the link above my first thought was, “It better be as good as Unchated 2 if it’s only 10 hours.”
Valid point. It would be nice if it had as high of a replay value as the uncharted games. Maybe it’s just me, but I replayed each atleast a few times. 2 and 3 also had pretty great multi-player as well though
I agree. They are not the type of games i went back and replayed right away but going back to each of them after a few months without playing, i swear they were just as mindblowingly fun/pretty as the first time i played through. I have beaten each several times

Id have to look at my save files to see but i believe that on average both of them took me around 10-12 hours per play through. MAYBE 14 hours tops.

Well, that saved me $60.
I’m still gonna try and get it from Gamefly to give it a shot.
Well, guess It’s on to waiting for Bloodborne…
I mean’t to post last week about Evolve. I haven’t played it online yet, but I’ve played a little bit here offline mostly as a monster (I was able to unlock the Kraken, but not the Wraith yet). It’s actually a lot of fun. I’m not sure on the longevity as there are only a few game modes and most of them play out similarly (at least with AI as the enemy). I haven’t played as the hunters much yet either.
As the monster it’s very much a cat and mouse affair. You spend the early part of each match killing and consuming other monsters (most are pretty weak and docile, but they can hurt you) until you have the ability to evolve. The goal is to become a level 3 monster at which time you are practically unstoppable. The trick though, is doing it without taking damage from the hunters. You start with limited life bars as a level 1 and 4 hunters can pretty easily kill you if you aren’t careful. Your health also does not regenerate, but your shield, for a lack of better term, does through consumption of food sources. Nothing regenerates on it’s own for the monster unless a perk is on that allows regen. If you’re caught in a trap before you can evolve from stage 1 to stage 2 you will have a really had time winning the match as you’ll lose a lot of life. It’s a lot of fun trying to evade the hunting hunters while killing and eating to evolve. Once you hit stage 3 you can dispatch the hunters in most cases unless you took a lot of damage earlier. Depending on the game mode you might not even fight the hunters and instead destroy an objective.
Anyway, it’s fun, like I said and a refreshing perspective. One other note, the game looks and feels a lot different when you switch between monster and hunter. It’s pretty neat really.
The Order has been getting pretty mediocre reviews, enough to convince me not to buy it.
Oh well, maybe ill finally go back and beat AC Unity now. Ill probably hit up the old PS1 collection until something else good comes out.

Sounds like fun. The only negative ive heard from users is that you basically need to drop $120 to pay for all of the dlcs to essentially unlock the game.
Oh and Ill bey money the witcher 3 and uncharted 4 will not dissappoint.
Beat Dying Light this week.
If you were at all interested in this game you definitely need to check it out. It has become one of my favorite games I’ve played.
It obviously, to put it nicely, borrows a lot from Far Cry, but the atmosphere and feeling I got playing it reminded me a lot of Half-Life way back in the day.
What I’d really love is a mode that takes advantage of the time cycle and forces you to complete the main story quests under a time limit. Once you know what to do the game is fairly easy. Nearly all my deaths came from jumps or gimmicky stuff (suicide bomber zombies, and a few spots in the story in which you can be gunned down in a few seconds).

Agreed. Theres no way those wont succeed both critically and commercially. Same goes for Bloodborne and FFXV

I’ve heard similar things, but haven’t looked into it. I thought buying the “collector edition” or whatever its called unlocked monster & hunter skins.
The DLC at launch is starting to piss me off that’s for sure. From a business perspective it makes perfect sense. AAA current gen games cost more than N64 games, but the prices hasn’t changed. DLC & micro transactions are the bridge.
Perfect example for me is Destiny. I bought the hype (I still enjoy the game a lot) and dropped $90 for the game and first 2 DLC packages. The first one was certainly not worth $15. We’ll see about DLC #2… Don’t even get me started on money dropped on Call of Duty. I pretty much hate that franchise now.
Looks like I lucked out and Gamefly is sending me a copy of The Order . Should be here next week. Guess we’ll see if it’s a crapper or not then.
Uncharted 4 will be the reason I buy a PS4. I still haven’t finished 3 yet. Birth of my daughter halted that for a while.

Im interested to hear what you have to say. I keep hearing about how its such crap and then also hearing about how its worth it just for the amazing spectacle/jaw dropping graphics.
Im pretty fuckin bored of Dragon Age Inquisition so im tempted to trade it in and grab the order, then trade that in later after i beat it. Ultimately it wont end up costing me much that way.

I’ll write up a review probably next week. It usually takes about 4-5 days before I get the shipment. I’ve been hearing the same things about Order. Probably the most frequent comment I hear is that it’s jaw dropping gorgeous, but plays like a PS2 shooter. Honestly, that would be fine with me as long as it’s fun and the story is good. Too many games have terrible story arcs or no story at all. I don’t get it.
I hear you on Dragon Age Inquisition. I unlocked the Skyhold (or whatever it’s called) and pretty much stopped there. I haven’t found exploring is as fun in it, as say, Skyrim.
