Hey guys i have a question about making strength gains. do any of you find that like all of a sudden a certain weight feels easy and you make a pretty big gain on it? This often happens to me when i ease up on a lift. could this be that my body recovers from the fatigue that i had previously put on it?
Just for a quick example- For squats my PR was 315 for 3 reps. I eventually stopped squatting regularly and focused on power cleans. a few weeks ago i introduced squatting for 5x5 alternating by relatively light sights with slightly heavier sets (around 225-255 area). last week i hit 315 6 times.
