
Well I’m new to the boards, and have been a long time reader of the site. Below is a pic of me as of today i’m coming from a program of bodyweight only but thats about to change, because im taking a weight lifting/fitness class at my college starting next monday.
I need some advice on what program I should follow, if I want to gain muscle, while keeping endurance high , because I play alot of basketball, and move around alot at work.
I should have said above is my pic, but oh well. It took me a long time to get where im at but still am very unsatisfied.
Go to the beginner’s forum, read the stickies at the top and pick a program from there.
That should get you started. Your diet is going to determine how much size you gain. Use the search function and the “…for Newbies” Series, (Training, nutrition, supplementation).
If you want to maintain your basketball skills, keep playing basketball. Weight train, then play basketball.

You should probably see what the class is about first. This will sound flippant, but to keep your endurance, keep playing basketball and keep moving at work. That’s why you want endurance, right - to do those things? As long as you eat more and right (see stickies) you’ll gain muscle and keep your endurance.
