Gaining Momentum!!!

Nahh… I don’t want to incorporate too many carbs man. I don’t need energy bags on my mid-section. I think 180 grams of carbs a day is plenty to start. If I shock my system, I get fat and bloaded. I take in my majority of carbs 1-2 hours after taking Surge. I’m actually burning fat pretty damn fast, now, and I’ll increase to around 220 grams of carbs at 400 grams of protein at 6500 calories on Monday. And then, I’ll take it from there.

My strength gains are phenomenal! I’m incorporating “max bench” thread to keep from injuring my shoulders. Needless to say, my bench is higher than what I’m used to. I’m switching back to dumb-bell presses for added strength and control. I’m just trying to take care of my body without doing to much damage from my workouts. My body doesn’t hurt anymore. I feel like I should slam my foot on the pedal but my experience says naahhh.

Where “Quatro Dynamo” is conscerned, It kind of screws up my 3-on, 1-day-off routine. I go to the gym 6 times a week as opposed to the 5 times a week QD implies. So I have to change some aspects of the routine up a little. If anyone has any suggestions for doing a 6 day QD workout please fill me in!

My body seems to be responding to Surge quite well. Not to mention the high intake of protein just before bed-time. I just got my Spike today and well, I don’t notice anything different so far. But, it says to use for a month for best results.

One thing I’ve noticed when I lift heavy is that when I grit my teeth I taste blood. I don’t know why, but I love the taste of blood! Don’t worry! My blood-pressure is a little up, but I always had border-line blood pressure.

This Sunday I’ll be posting pics:

Chest
Back
Arms
Shoulders
Legs

If I seem a little wierd I appologize. I feel better than I have ever felt in my entire life! This entire theatre of bulking and nutrition is doing me good in so many ways! I’m going to stick with this routine… well… as long as I can fit through a door!!! I’m not doing this just for the cruise. I’m in this for the long-haul. This is what I want to do with my life. And I have finally found a place where I feel at home.

I don’t fade or faulter! I conquer and divide!

I’m not sure why I’m responding to this, but after reading your caloric intake info I just had to respond. If you plan on taking in the other 4000 calories of your 6500 in fat you are going to have trouble. Your worried about bags around your stomach from carbs, but are willing to eat 450g of fat to meet your dietary goals. You really aren"t serious.

A lot of people, smarter than myself, have tried to step in and give you some great advice and you throw it away and go your own way. Then why post the thread? I read in a past column that water is the greatest anabolic, and yet you LIMIT yourself to 3/4 of a gallon. No shit man, you need at least twice that. Go for your goals, but thre really is nothing wrong with taking the advice given to you, focusing on that goal, and then workingsmartly towards said goal. It’s just simple math, if you want to gain 30 lbs in30 days you have to overconsume by 3500 calories a day your caloric expenditure. If you are working out like you say that would be AT_LEAST 6500-7000 calories a day. And to reiterate; to process that much food would take at least 1.5-2 gals. of water each and every day. Good luck

Water anyone???

I see the problem you have now Sasquatch.

I don’t believe I stated anywhere that I’m taking in that much fat!!! I’m using Carbs for energy before they turn into fat. And anyone knows after an intense workout you consume about 67% carbs and 33% protein. Well, not everyone…

Thankx anyway… I’ll try your water balloon diet for S & G’s, but I don’t think I need that much water right now because I’m not cramping, I’m not sore, and I feel like my energy level is just about perfect!

Laterz…

This is really becoming cumbersome. I have increased my water intake to 1 Gallon, I can finally keep it down without going to the bathroom all of the time, and you want me to drink 1.5 gallons of water a day? How am I going to keep that water down without pissing myself? Do you want me to start drinking this 1.5 gallons immediately or should I ease her in? Also, you want me to take in 450 grams of fat per day. Can you explain why I need all of this fat in my diet please?

Thank you,

Wayne[/quote]

Ok, are you insane? Seriously , you need to re-read what sasquatch wrote.

I hesitate to get involved in this as well, because this is one of the more assinine threads I’ve read, and Original_Demon you come off annoying in this whacky, spaced out wild manner you type in.

He’s not telling you that you need that much fat. YOU implied you were taking in that much fat in order to reach your calorie goals. I was gonna respond to this as sasquatch did, but decided against it. Turns out I should have.I had this sneaking suscpicion that you were calculating calories incorrectly. And I’ve had that suspicion confirmed.

You claim you are, or will be, eating 6500 calories per day.

400 grams of protein x 4 calories per gram=1600 calories from protein

220 grams of carbs x 4 calories per carb=880 calories from carbs

1600
+880

2480 calories from protein and carbs (we’ll say 2500 for convenience)

Total Calorie Intake 6500

  • Protein/Carb Calories 2500

                    4500 calories

Thus, you have 4500 calories you need to eat in order to achieve your 6500 calorie goal. The only other macronutrient available to get this is fat.

fat has 9 calories per gram

4500/9= about 450 grams of fat per day.

If you are not eating 450 grams of fat per day, you are not eating 6500 calories.

What gives?

I’ve been doing my damndest to ignore this conversation, but I saw a quote today that’s just too appropriate:

“I never desire to converse with a man who has written more than he has read.”

Demon, it’s tough to sympathize with your complaints about not having time to read all the articles that are being recomended to you when you seem to have plenty of time to post rambling responses to this thread.

This thread is still going?!

Demon, you and ih8temyself should hook up for a coffee sometime. That way, you could each ramble on about something that no one cares about, AND you can both tell your “stories” about the “awesome accomplishments” you’ve both “made!” Win/win, for us and you!

Thank me later (everyone included lol).

This is for the both of you,

I’m sorry if you think the only calories I’m taking in are protein and carbs but you are sadly mistaken. Maybe I was misleading during that one thread of this entire post but I gave those stats for the basis of muscle gain. Now this may be hard to imagine but I also eat fruit, wheat, vegetables, and other shit. Now, why are people soo confused and must think to gain weight, particualarly muscle, you must just eat 6000 calories or more a day. What are the basis for muscle gain you think? One would be prone to say maybe eating lots of protein or carbs. If you are one of those ppl congratulations your absolutely right. Now imagine this, God made fruit in the form of apples, oranges, bannanas and other shit. Believe or not, I eat fruit!!! Not neccesarily loaded with protein and carbs but does have other things your body needs.

What I’m trying to say is, sigh, protein and carbs are not the only source of calories on God’s beautiful planet. Man… for herbavores, horses really have powerful muscular bodies. They must eat alot of protein!!! Do you think fresh grass or hay is loaded with carbs and protein??? Maybe I should start eating hay huh guys… Fuck!!!

By the way, I love how you guys can do math >:)

I see the trolls are right on time again. School out already???

Oh and for the record, you 6 foot tall 155lb stick-figures can give advice to ppl who want to look like human match-sticks biotch!!!

Why don’t some of you trolls post pics of yourself??? Why is your profile so unfinished??? What do you have to contribute??? “NOTHING”!!! Empty advice, empty profiles, empty skulls!!!

I wish I could incorporate the ignore option on trolls here. That would be perfect T-Nation.

That’s a good point. If I may, I’d like to expand on your post.

!!!

Great, if you’re really interrested, not only can I teach you math, but I could teach you to read as well. Maybe even comprehend something.

I think you must actually be retarded. Does this look familiar? If not then scroll up and read your own goddamn post, but I’ll post the relevant portion here…

Is this clear now?

Now I can’t believe I’m responding…

1.Why are you so afraid of water? I drink 160-180 oz. plus 40 oz. in my green tea per day and I’m 135# female. Drink more water!

2.Fruits are carbs!!! What turnip truck did you fall off of?
BTW turnips and vegetables… also carbs

Sit down, stop wasting your time rationalizing your poorly thought plan and looking for stupid pics to post and read this.

Man, I wish I could read minds! To be able to listen in to the convoluted mess that is this man’s thought process would be awesome. I love checking this thread now because it has drifted so far into the theater of the ridiculous!
Good analogy on the horse by the way, Demon.

You’re a funny one…
Isn’t it a concidence that there have been NO supportive posts in this thread since the very beginning? Generous people just gave you the benefit of the doubt, posted some advice and went on their way. But now, you keep rambling on and no one cares. I apoligize for purposely offending you, but dude, you really gotta start taking this awesome advice if you want anyone to accept you.

Oh, and just so everyone knows, I’m the reason he bought Surge.

Later,
-DV

Look, I’m going to be blunt here. I’ve been taking the advice of every competant source, including DV! By the way, the Surge must be helping! The only advice I had difficulty taking was 2 gallons of water in a day. However, in my stupidity, I didn’t realize that 1 .5L of water (1 16.9fl oz of water) is around 1.4 of a gallon. I drink about 8-9 of these throughout the day!! I’m sorry, I’m no nutritionist. I’m a “Network Admin” for a reputable company. Accept my deepest apologies. However, as far as the trolls go, get a life!!

I’m getting a body-fat tester today so I’ll update to show current body-fat to muscle ratio. Two weeks ago I weighed about 210 pounds (with plenty of body fat for everyone, like 22%). Now I weigh about 215.5 lbs and my pants are a little looser. I’ve increased flat from 265-275 lb bench (max) to 305-315 lb bench (max) during that two week time frame. Every aspect of my workout has increased from 40 lbs and up!

Also, since I’m venting, I want to clarify something before we go any further. There is a reason why I carry the name Demon. I am intrigued with shapes and form. The way light brings out darkness to create illusions of grandeur. I like the contrast of silver and black. Now, I’ll try to explain my behavior. Your body does not unleash endorphines until you punish it or experience intense levels of excitement (including laughter). These endorphines help the healing process of the muscles. They even help fight disease and increase life expectancy. Apparently, my body is loaded with endorphines. My body responds very well to punishment. I’m fearless, and I enjoy extreme shit! Weight-lifting is one of my passions. I want to become a power-lifter because there’s something about a 235 lb man bench-pressing double, or even triple, his body-weight that brings out the testosterone in soccer-moms and sends match-sticks cowering in fear!!!

If I come-off a little wierd, it’s because I am an extremist in every aspect of my life! Whether it be work, play, cross-country horse-back riding, or a hardcore ass whoopin that’s just how I am. I’m sorry if I’ve offended some people on this site but then again I don’t give a shit if you care!! That’s just me!! I’m just a god-forsaken, spine-ripping “Demon”!
