dude yea you will retain the water but youll need it but hey man in all seriousness as extreme as your goal may seem good luck obtaining it
I’ve read you mentioning that you need to gain muscle “fast!!!,” several times. Not sure if you have or not, but any chance of telling us why? The saggy skin situation sounded like a long-term thing, and I haven’t read any short-term reasoning.
Thanks

How come none of you have mentioned Quattro Dynamo or Meltdown Training III? Am I remiss or are those meant for a short time frame like this?
Oh, and if this guy isn’t on creatine, he should be. Among other things.
Personally, I had great results off of a workout very similar to his, (but without deadlifts). Every set taken to absolute failure, and sometimes beyond, with supersets etc.

I’m not sure if it was mentioned yet, but 2 liters of water is not nearly enough! One gallon MINIMUM per day!
1 Gallon of water a day??? Won’t I retain that???[/quote]
Actually, your body retains water when you aren’t getting enough. It’s thinking “I better save some in case I need it.”
If you drink enough water, you actually retain less because your body doesn’t feel like it has to defend against dehydration.
i dont know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but your leg day looks pretty tame for what you want to do.
i would say focus more on legs and less on abs that day. or just leave the ab work as is and add deadlifts or something (depending on your recovery, how you feel, etc.)
you will grow all over, not just your lower body, from a good leg day
when people say to do the Big lifts,
deads, squats, bench, rows are the BIG ones. those are your ticket to fast muscle growth (well, as fast as humanly possible)

YEA… I would do more on legs but my wife says she doesn’t want me to have really big, muscled up legs, although I might just go ahead and add in some leg lifts, leg curls, and flat-back leg-press. I know doing a large muscle group like legs is an easy way to gain muscle fast. Just don’t want my wife to kill me!!!
I am hitting the creatine like it’s going out of style and I must say, I’m getting hellish results from it. I even feel like I just worked out, swole, increased muscle size, and this is my day off!!!
I was told to take a day off between 3 day torture days and damn… greatest damn advise sooo far!!! Simple yet, very effective to let my muscles retaliate with a little growth.
I’ve increased my water intake to about 3/4 gallon. And to be honest, I don’t even visit the porcelain God that often! My body screams for moisture right now.
I’m still waiting for my Surge because I’m not taking a post-workout drink yet. Right now I’m taking low-sugar energy drinks right after intense workouts. Followed by 30 minute protein shake, followed by 30 minute high protein (80-100 grams protein), high carb (40-65 grams carbs), meal.
However, I’m not sure I’m going to hit the 30lb mark. 20lbs is looking more feasable. Should I throw in super-sets? I’ve also heard I can trick my muscles from adapting to my routine by switching between dumb-bells and bars. Any ideas on this?
I’m going to wait a week before I post a recent weight diagram and photo. I have to see if I get a significant gain and get measured for body fat and water retension.
Thankx for the input!!!

er…
well dont worry about not fitting in pants, cause it sounds like you dont wear em’ in that relationship.
hehe just busting your chops.
well actually, your legs will thicken up a bit, but you will get a proportional look, not a top heavy, stereotypical meathead look. i.e. your arms, back, shoulders, chest, etc. will get big too.
she shouldnt have time to tell you what to do with all the food shopping, and cooking she needs to do for you to bulk up. ![]()
also a joke, save the backlash T-vixens
If you’re looking to gain as fast as possible, look up German Volume Training (GVT) by Charles Poliquin. Brutal, but very effective.

Yeah, like Paxil.

you dont want to retain it all, thats not the objective. its important for all biological functions. joints feel better, you sweat more (wont over heat), and your body can flush out whatever it had to.
also good to prevent kidney stones im told
Lol, ok… ok… I’ll do more on legs. I forgot it does promote muscle growth up stairs too.

Me a week ago!! Yet another bad picture. I’ll rip the shirt off and show you guys my progress this next weekend. My current wieght is stabalized at about 212lbs right now.
These will all be clearly visible in my photos:
-Front
-Back
-Sides
-Legs
-Arms
-Shoulders
-Chest
-Back
-Abs

I thought the Surge came in 1lb bottles. So I ordered 2 of them thinking that was 2 lbs of Surge. I see why someone made the comment earlier that 2lbs wasn’t going to cut it. I actually have 4lbs it seems. I stand corrected.
By the way, this stuff really kicks my ass.
Am I supposed to feel so exausted??? It’s been almost 5 hours since I worked out and I feel like crap!!! Maybe I need more sugar in my system???
Just ordered Spike!
Man…
Creatine
Hemodulators
Surge
Spike
Protein bars and shakes
1 Gallon O’ water a day
Plus tons of food!
“Mixed with 3 days on 1 day off complete muscle failure!”
Anthing else I’m missing out on… I’m either going to get really fat and bloaded or I’m going to blow a kidney!

Training to a variation of the QD program and seing results!!! I’m also taking in quite a bit o’ protein a day with a 100 gram protein chunk right before bed. I’m not forgeting my carbs as I’m taking in about 120 grams plus per day. I’m following “How to Increase Your Max Bench” thread to the T… This is probably one of the best threads I’ve read in a while. Not only has my bench gone up but I have “NO” shoulder pain what-so-ever!
God I love this site… thank you T-Nation,
Wayne
Demon, you sound exactly like me when i get pumped up and motivated over something!
Good luck, and remember, you can push yourself as hard as you want, what truly defines ones limits?
I waas thinking of doing something like this, although a little less extreme, this spring, so definetely post results and all
-“Knowing” blocks all understanding
I don’t know why I keep coming back to check this thread, it’s like a car crash I guess.
Demon, you need some f’n focus, you are all over the place! “Variation” of QD, max bench program, etc. etc. FOCUS!
120 grams of carbs is NOWHERE near enough carbs for your stated goals(which I think you reevaluate in the first place). You need at least several grams per pound of bodyweight if you are truly bulking.
I’m starting to think you are some kind of mythical “Demon”…half troll, half spazola!
