I started TRT 37 days ago levels were 265 now their 750-800 I was 208 lb now I’m 232lbs but I look leaner and my muscles are popping out of my shirt for the first time.
I haven’t gained really any strength but my muscles are deff growing how is that possible?
I would suspect you have put on a little water and your getting more volume in the muscles.
That being said, 24lbs is a lot to put on in that amount of time. Keep an eye on BP and any adema issues.
Or TRT my muscles were very squishy even when fully flexed now their heart is rough so I suspect they’ve got a little bit denser
Blood work came back perfect, I have had hormone issues my entire life up until 22 years old. I look like a nine year old boy baby teeth still in my mouth voice sounded like a little girl. I hit 35 and I started having panic attacks and ADHD. Got a lot worse manic episode got worse. I decided to try TRT and so far I haven’t had any ADHD medication since I started which is the first for me in the past 30 years.
The part that I’m concerned about is my muscles are getting bigger, but the strength really isn’t increasing. Is it possible for muscles to continuously get bigger even though work out to work out reps and we are not increasing?
Yes. Muscle size is not always an indication of contractile tissue.
Go to the grocery store and go buy a steak. That’s a muscle, right? Now run that steak through a dehydrator and turn it into jerky. See how much smaller that muscle is? The muscle itself never changed in size: you just took all the water out of it and made it that much smaller.
Muscles can grow in size without the tissue itself growing.
An impossible occurrence if actual muscle tissue was gained.
I agree….however I don’t think I’m fully recovering between workout.. either way it’s a head scratcher
Why?
OP, let’s start with this..what are your macros?
Every day meals at 6-9-12-3-6-9pm
First meal and last 2 meals are as followed
4 cups whole milk
2 bananas
4 servings Greek yogurt (100cals each 18g protein)
3 scoops of gold standard whey
4 servings local farmed raw honey and
10g creatine
Other meals are 1lb of chicken and 4servings of jasmine rice split up into 3 meals
I drink 10-14bottles of water a day 16.9oz each
Also just got back from gym……I don’t know when but out of nowhere my back has gotten stronger than ever I literally hit prs on every back movement
5days ago I hit back and was noticeably weaker than the last workout I could tell I wasn’t recovered so I had a baby shit workout
I think their was a few days where kids kept me up and logged about 5-6 hrs of sleep
Sorry for rant I have adhd and that post workout bowl pack hittin
Great analogy!
Your drinking 12cups of whole milk per day?
That’s 1700 cals from milk alone! 1200cals in yogurt.
No wonder you’re gaining so much weight.
What’s your total caloric intake?
If I read that right, you’re getting roughly 6300 calories daily. That would fatten up most people, but you did say you look leaner. Do have any before and current photos?
I don’t doubt you’re gaining some muscle, but even on TRT that’s a huge leap in a short amount of time. My wild guess would be adding lots of body water (glycogen, intramuscular water from the double-dose of creatine, possibly some “bloat” from all that milk, etc.) plus some body fat.
Great to hear about dropping the ADHD meds!
Post pictures.
4 cups of milk I must have miss typed
Ya man me too thank you sir!
After The Vyvanse crash induced full-blown Get after a panic attacks at work in front of my peers and then bawling up in the fetal position rocking back-and-forth a few times yeah fuck that shit I’m over that I’ll raw dog the shit from now on lol
4 cups per meal, 3x a day is 12 cups
Let me look to see if I have any
Oh no I fucked up lol my bad that was an ingredient list and amount thereof to a meal shake I consume over the course of three meals. I hope that explains that a little bit better. It’s hard for me to put thoughts into accurate words regarding said thoughts.
So what your saying is you have no idea what your eating per day and wonder why you are gaining so much weight??
