Thanks man, I really need to eventually find a workout partner to spot me so I can try some real weight.
The weekend of July 2nd, we can all get some good lifting in
Looking forward to it!
We are either gonna be maxing squat or deadlift…be f’ing ready.

Thanks pb the meet is on july 30th its the same one dixie is doing.

Thank you for the kind words justice.

And dixie I am about to pm you

Squat 3 week
275x3
290x3
310x3
320x1
350x1 pr! I decided to do crossfit today (max effort squat with a calf raise at the top) all jokes aside I am very happy with it some techniques issues I still need to fix video:

SLDL worked up to 275x8 which is a pr on because I never do them heavy lol.

then some extensions and ham. curls
Feeling very ready for this meet and I am still wondering if I should cut weight or not. I am 204 at the moment and wanted to lift at 198 which isn’t much but this being my first meet I probably shoudln’t worry about it… or should I?

Very nice squat! Great depth. 405 before you know it.

Thanks PB! just glad I didn’t die lol

Are you doing Wendler’s progression for meet prep? I was confused when I read the book and he just said 3x3 for the first three sets. What percentages did you use for the first 23 sets? (65, 75, 85)?

The squat looked easy. You definitely have more in the tank

70 80 90, the singles are 85% meet goal then 92.5% meet my goal is 380 but hoping for 400

July 30th

Solid pr.

Got the PM by the way, completely understand the situation man, we will see if we can get another training session in before the meet.

Nice squat.

You’ve got a lot more in you on your squat with a few form tweaks and some work on the upper back, glutes and hams. Ever tried a low bar position (right below the traps)? Work on that hip mobility a bit too and you’ll stay in a stronger position at the bottom of your squat. Think head back and hips forward out of the hole and you’ll get bent over less and squat more.

Thank you for the tips, I am going to have to try low bar position, and continue working on those form cues.
