CONDITIONING

Since I had my fitness test moved back to Friday, I’m not doing prowler. It’s making me mad. Will do prowler sprints IMMEDIATELY after my test on Friday.

Did a 20 min walk with the pup-face, though. He likes walks. We own almost every tree and pole within a six block radius!! haha

NOTES:

First day back on a regular 5/3/1 cycle in what seems like forever. I’m doing the “Simplest Template for Strength”. Basically you cycle your second assistance exercises of each day kinda like the main sets. I set my maxes for each secondary exercise lower to accomodate for the conditioning.

I’m feeling refreshed and more energized now. The prowler is paying off in every aspect of life. I’m getting so much done at work it’s crazy!!

I’m feeling a little twinge in my right tricep/lat area that I’m icing right now and going to work around with a baseball later. Also have 100 facepulls to do at work tonight!

Ok, I’m calling myself out here. One of my good friends was going away this weekend and we partied a little too hard. I haven’t gotten my deathlifts in yet. I’m a few days behind. A few days is nothing in a lifetime of training.

My goals for the next three months include:

Staying on top of my nutrition

Continuing my conditioning.

Getting ready to get strong as fuck for a meet later this year.

Finish my 8 week course work for school in 5 weeks.

Felt like I could have done a million reps at 365. Each rep of every set was reset and started as a single.

SSB Squats were kinda hard. Video of these later.

I did 6 trips in 6 minutes, then proceeded to puke all over the prowler and myself. Finished the last two for a total of about 10 minutes. I did this in about 12 or so minutes last time without puking. I’m getting BETTERRRR!!!

Time to cook for work. Benching tomorrow!! For conditioning, I think I’m going to throw 135 on the SSB and see how fast I can walk a mile.

Usually my last meal will closely resemble my first. Around 40g protein and veggies.

This is what I’ve been sticking to pretty well over the past 3 or so weeeks. Some days I go out and eat meat and potatoes usually.

It’s been working and I feel good. We’ll see what happens when I add some more protein in later on.

I like the sledgehammer swings better than medicine ball slams. Will continue this.

Bench feels way better. Every rep of every set was paused and explosive.

Rows feel good, working on volume.

Incline was done super controlled and paused. I exploded up the weight.

Tricep pump was in effect!!

I just did three reps per side for three sets with a 12lb hammer. Seemed to work better than the slams.

I’ve never really used it as conditioning, though.

I like 3-5 sets of 10 for grip, upper back, obliques, and upper body conditioning. For me it hits two birds with one stone

NOTES:

Overall, my lifts are finally feeling stronger. The conditioning is coming along and that hill will definitely take some working up to. It’s pretty far to sprint. I also have some highway embankments that are about half as long. I’ll be doing those as well.

I’m finding it hard to eat in the morning but I can always get that shake down. I tried to eat a “real” breakfast today; no dice!

I have no idea what my weight is right now, but I already feel healthier and my blood pressure is probably as low as its ever been. I’ll take it for now.

SIDE NOTE:

I miss a few of the PW girls that were “dismissed”. Drama aside, they usually were putting in some good work and I enjoyed their logs. At least Brute and Spock are still around. Haven’t seen Cholulalula as much lately… Hmmmmm.

I used to do that with my FB… Too many losers on there. I just deleted the whole thing.

That hill is a killer. I will get to a point I can do 10 sprints easily. Or I’ll die. Either way, I’m gonna do something dramatic!! Lol
