I had to take 3 weeks off because of injury but this week im back in the gym, lifting hard, and didnt lose to much strength cause of some light work i was doing. And a little bit of hot yoga with the ladies.

So tex… how you feeling? Weak spots, strong points, how you feel about where your at? I havnt been in here much. anyways alls good n shit.

Good to hear you’re back at it. I know just pulling back for my Deload week makes me depressed. I couldn’t imagine 3 weeks!

As far as my weak points, just my bench. I used to have a bad problem popping my ass off the bench off my chest. It came back recently and I’m really gonna have to do some sub-max technique work to make sure it doesn’t happen in the meet. Besides that, I’m feeling really good about my squat and DL. Shooting for 40lb+ PR’s in each! All that’s left is the waiting.

Headed down to New Orleans next weekend and I’m hoping for good things!! :slight_smile:

Glad to be back in the States. There’s so much we take for granted and being gone really shows you what’s important in life.

I’ve been adding a ton of cinnamon to my morning and PWO shakes. It’s been a week, we’ll see how this impacts my body’s tendency to want to store everything I eat as fat.

Traveled to Ft. Worth this weekend from Wichita Falls for my mom’s 50th birthday weekend. Had a great time. Saw the family for the first time in 7 months, drank a lot of draaaaankkk, and ate hella grilled foods. Pretty good weekend over all.

I really like the new wraps, but they are a bitch to get past depth with. I’m gonna get two more squat sessions in and try to get them to loosen up just a little before the meet. The pop on these things are RIDICULOUS (that shit cray!!). lol

I have another day of inprocessing and appointments on base and the leave officially starts!!! So excited to get some off time.

I’m headed down to see a speical someone this weekend and I’m SUUUPERRRRR excited. Ol’ Tex is gonna make the best of these three days down there, that’s for sure! :wink:

Other than that, just staying the course and getting my mind ready to compete in two weeks. I’ll be doing a lot of traveling so, staying on top of my stretching and foam rolling is a huge must right now. It’s time to go eat and walk the dog.
