Now, I don’t consider myself ‘pretty fucking huge’ because I’ve stood next to, trained, and competed with dudes who are truly ‘pretty fucking huge’, but, the gains I have made have all been since the age of 36. At 36, I was 170 with 14+ inch arms and never really lifted ‘heavy’.

Hence, the ‘fast track’ method of gaining versus the ‘slow, lean road’. With time on your heels, aintnobodygottimeforabz ← see what I did there?

In fact, I will say that reading some of your posts, PX, about age and such put the bug in my head that maybe this would be a great challenge to pursue, so thanks for that, you bastard ;)
I am in awe at your progress always…because I rarely see anyone able to make that much progress that late.

I also know there is no way in hell you would have reached that level if you “slow gained” your way there.

I also remember lewhitehurst saying he made some of his best gains after the age of 30. He is a big dude as well.

yeah, like we discussed earlier, stop counting all of the “gains” before the age of 18.
I started lifting at 18, I’m 23 now.
Good for you.

We still don’t know how you look…and that IS what this thread is about…not numbers.
Cool. Read through my training logs, there’s pictures there somewhere.

Edit: I have a meet this Saturday, I’ll post pictures and videos here when everything is all said and done.
I watched one of your vids and while you look like you lift, you don’t seem “extremely muscular” to me.

I gained over 100lbs to where I am right now. I think those of us in this thread discussing this topic have the GOAL of being way more muscular.
LOL…how many of those pounds are muscle and how many are fat and bloat? Could you even unrack the pounds this guy is repping? If you want to make this your own personal forum they should just rename it “Big” as I fail to see how you can add anything to discussion in terms of the other two elements.

I just posted a shirtless pic a few pages back. If that looks like just “fat and bloat” to you, something is wrong with how you see things.

That means a lot, thank you.

You set a high bar, so I’m curious to see where you are physique wise. Mind posting some pics like the rest of us?

I mean, I know I’m a weak fatass, but I still post pics for the lolz.

Question…does anyone else notice the attitude from some posters here? If your goal is just to insult me or anyone else, take that shit out of here.

I could see if I straight up insulted detazototh, but I didn’t. It is like many of you are responding just to do this.

x2.

If all I gained was fat and bloat, I really want to see how to do it right.

Mr. Mo’ Bitchez is a genuinely pretty fucking huge dude.

With that said, getting bigger is also important to me but I’m not in a hurry …
That right there is the major point that I think is most misunderstood.

No one has that much time. Seriously.

I mean, has there ever been a guy who “slow gained” his way to a max muscle gain of over 80lbs?
Let’s take the “80 lbs” muscle gain out because that’s a whole other topic there, but there are a number of people ON THESE VERY FORUMS that have gained a significant amount of muscle and are very strong that stayed lean throughout the process (bigger, stronger …an lean imagine that) and did not extreme bulk. Your way worked for you, why act like that’s the only way?

Yes, some people do have that much time and are capable. Seriously.

Yeah, but he was also pretty big by the time he was 30 tho.

I agree that I am still seeing progress…but I also know I am glad I already put the time in to put that size on. I see more risks potentially trying to jump up in weight that much after the age of 35. I am talking about extreme jumps in body weight.

For instance, I put on about 30-40lbs in my first year lifting. It wasn’t ALL muscle, but quite a bit was. I don’t think a 40lbs gain would be the right thing to do now.

I am strictly talking about an extreme level of size gain.

Someone like kingbeef fits that bill, but not many other people here do at all.

And again, we are talking about someone literally trying to “GAIN SLOWLY” because they are more worried about fat gains than muscle gains. That is NOT how kingbeef approach his training from what I have seen. He just has the genetics to stay leaner when gaining well.

We already know that all people don’t grow best at the same body fat percentage.

You stay as lean as you can to make optimal progress…not put staying lean OVER muscle gains.

I mentioned 80lbs because that is the type of gain I am talking about.

I did it.

He did it.

Why would I care about way smaller people?

Gotta lol @ that “if ur not huge by 25-30 gl ever be”

Nj setting limits

solarFLARE…we could still use those pictures of your progress.

I want to know how to NOT be just “fat and bloat”.

Also gotta lol @ the assumption that staying lean = slow gaining

Slow gaining scale weight maybe…uh

For me, it boils down to this ^ – only adding that the ‘comfort level’ of added fat is purely individual based on one’s goals.

There are a couple threads in “T-Cell Alpha” that were straight up failed “bulks”. You know it when you see it, and it’s not pretty. A legit smooth ‘full house’ or even “powerlifter husky” is a far cry from the results of those threads.

I have nothing but pure manlove for Kingbeef, that genetically gifted bastard.

Well said.

If you gain 100lbs and no one is impressed at all with how you look, you did it wrong. That isn’t what anyone is talking about here and never has been.

I stayed as lean as I needed to in order to grow the fastest possible rate and to reach every other goal I had in life.

That is how I SHOULD have done things. Anything else would have meant way less muscle growth.

It’s too late for you. Your way too old now, by your own standards.

Also gotta lol @using lee priest as an example when most of today’s pro stay relatively lean and did so even WHEN turning pro

No need to go with that “chances are these guys got to their soze going soft and now they stay lean” cause that is NOT the case.
