Guys Iâ??m curious to hear what you think about full body training. I’ve been using various splits over the years, but nothing more than say Back + rear delts…I’m trying full body training now, as I’ve heard some good things about it. TBH, it seems somewhat logical to train this way when you consider that muscle growth is mostly systemic in nature. Destroying single muscles seemed great to me at first, but Iâ??m thinking this type of training will demand more from my body in terms of recovery & rehabilitation (ie, growth). I tried it on Sunday, and ran supersets on antagonistic muscles for the entire workout. It was damn near better than intervals.
From what I understand, the CNS triggers muscle growth and this type of workout should be pretty taxing on the CNS. What do you guys think of TBT?
I’m a beginner using TBT right now to build a foundation in strength, drop some fat, and get familiar with the lifts before moving onto a split. It can definitely be taxing on the CNS (especially if you are trying to incorporate a lot of the big compound lifts) and you might be forced to lower the weight to finish a workout, but still doable. As far as hypertrophy goes, however, I do not think TBT is ideal. I don’t think you get the same kind of muscle stimulation from being limiting to one exercise per bodypart and the CNS fatigue prevents you from really hitting a muscle group. Just my impressions thus far.

OP, stop starting threads on subjects that have been discussed AD NAUSEUM on here. This has been going on here a lot recently. Some troll or newb will start a thread where the conversation will ultimately turn to one of these topics:
-TBT is better than splits.
-Compound lifts are more “functional” and all that you need. Isolation exercises suck.
-Anyone weighing over 220lbs is fat and non-functional.
-150lb MMA guys always go around beating up 250lb+ bodybuilders just for shits and giggles.
…am I forgetting any others?
