Full Body, Then Deadlift

I want to know if I can dead lift on tuesday if I did this workout monday

Benchpress
Incline press
Hamstring curls
leg press
Facepull
Row
dumbell shoulder press
pullups
All with mixed reps. From 2-10.

Wanting to do heavy dead lifting the next day.

I would rather deadlift on Monday and perform the other exercises on Tuesday. I like to be as fresh as possible for my deadlifting days and then perform other supporting exercises the next day.

The Leg Curl, Row, and Pull-ups will hinder your deadlift. You should have deadlifted Monday and did that workout Tuesday. Are you planning on just deadlifting tuesday? I’m gonna say no, if you want to get better at deadlifting don’t do stuff like this.

If you can dead lift the day after training the muscles that perform that lift you are taking it easy on one or both days.

Of course you can. Who said you can’t deadlift heavy twice in a row let alone that. Do what you want your body will adapt.

Putting a few heavy pulls at the beginning of a traditional workout can actually warm the rest of you up for other exercises.

I do something like this most of the time:

Deadlifts: 3x3 @ 360 lbs.
Standing Military press: 5x5 @ 155 lbs.
Weighted Pullups/Chins: 4x4 w/ 45 lb plate
Weighted Dips: 6x6 w/ 45 lb plate
Medicine ball work with my son.

I generally do this workout 4 to 5 times every 2 weeks. 2 one week 3 the next, and have been able to add 5-10 lbs. every 2 to 3 weeks for a while to my deadlifts.

Started at: 275 lbs. @205 lbs. bodyweight
Now: 360 lbs. @215 lbs. bodyweight

We’re talking about what’s optimal, not what’s possible. He can deadlift all he wants. You can train a bodypart 5 times a week for a month or 6 weeks to bring it up to speed. Don’t use the exception to prove the rule.

You can do it. Your numbers won’t be at 100% but you’ll be fine.
