Hey guys just about to venture back into 531 again after a while away with Tactical Barbell
I’m looking to use FSL 5x5 5s Pro with an 85% TM
I just want to make sure I’ve got things right and thank you for your time and comments
2 days, 2 main lifts
Bench 5s Pro
Squat 5s Pro
Then a kind of giant set of
Bench/Squat FSL & Rows (50 reps)
OHP 5s Pro
Deadlift 5s Pro
Then a kind of giant set of
OHP/Deadlift/Chins (50 reps)
Q1. Im assuming the FSL is included in the 25-50 reps of pushing assistance is that correct? Or should I be adding in dips etc as well
Q2. Adding band pull aparts very light 3 sets of 10 during pushing motions too much?
It’s not. FSL is supplemental, not assistance. Assistance is it’s own thing.
There’s no universal answer to all of this: it’s based on your own unique ability to recover. If it IS too much: cut it out.

Light band or mini band? For clarification.
Light band reps, sets of 10 after working sets on 5s pro
Thank you for your response
I could be wrong and more then likely am but it seems with extra pushing assistance which I’ll add it there seems a big imbalance of pushing to pulling
You have to keep in mind: this isn’t a program you run for the rest of your life. If you feel that you require more pulling in the future: you can follow a program that addresses that issue. You picked this program to get after a particular goal.
What were your results with tactical barbell in terms of strength gain? And why are you switching?
