For those of who you have Zercher Squatted heavy, have you seen any negative impact on your forearms/elbows?
Not yet anyways…and I’ve done as much as 525…

Personally, I think it helped heal up a strain I had in my forearm, might’ve had to do with rolling it out or something weird like that.
Were you doing anything special bar placement wise? I’ve done 405 with a good bit left in the tank, but my forearms/hands went pretty numb after rep 1.
Well I have also reached the 500s from pins (1/2inch above parallel) and I am not H4M.

But here’s my 2-cent, just do it more often ! I also had hard time at first but we get use really quickly. As far as form goes, I will try to video mine (pins) on next Friday (I’ll be reaching 95%+ will post it in BOI). Maybe H4M already has already a better quality video of it (the only one I saw was from the back and blurry so as far as bar placement go you may not be well informed hehe).

I have also been looking for a back squat replacement, but because my back is getting progressively fucked up and I gotta let that heal :frowning:

I was wondering for front squats, should the bar be on the front delts or behind? Though behind would imply getting thoroughly choked, I think…

Those jeffersons look promising, I may give those a try as well

Thanks. I don’t plan on working them in any time soon, but I will give them a better shot at some point down the road.

For fronts, the bar should be as far back into your neck area as you can stand it. Keep your core tight, force your knees out, and your elbows up during the entire lift, whether it be clean or cross grip.

Experimented with both recently and fell in love with Zercher, might have to wrap a towel around the bar though, kills my forearms… or I’ll just grow a pair of nuts, still deciding.
