But I have to acknowledge some of the posters who are taking us to task for picking on flipped-up collars, black T-shirts, hemp bracelets, etc. It’s a little lame to obsess about this stuff; but then, we aren’t exactly going out and shooting herds of softly grazing metrosexuals out on the savannah. They won’t grow extinct–or even a little bit discomfited–by anything we do or say here. We’re venting and joking, so chill if you can’t handle it.
Still, I am bugged by the Olivers with their fashionista sameness and slavish attention to what marketing tells them is important. But maybe that’s simply because I’ve never been fashionable I wear clothes until they wear out, use the soap in the dispenser in the gym shower for my body AND hair, don’t moisturize, wear a total of one (1) piece of jewelry EVER (wedding ring), have basically two pairs of shoes (clean-ish Timberlands for work and dirty sneakers), and prefer a clean T-shirt over a collared shirt when not at work. Maybe I’m just lacking in fashion sense, and jealous of the Olivers.

On the collars up side of things, I recently caught up with the sister and her two very hot friends (‘hot blonde’ and ‘hot brunette’) and witnessed an interesting encounter with a few desperate olivers that had formed a circle with one another.
Hot blonde and hot brunette decided to make a bet they could make the bunch of oliver looking guys in pink shirts with collars turned up, turn their collars down.
Given hot blonde and hot brunette’s appearance, I watched to see the outcome. The two girls returned to say the collar up guys would not turn their collars down even for a second as they said it would ‘ruin their image’.
