Hey, 550’s a big raw squat, what did you weigh?
(And you ought to move your log to the O-35 section, there’s lots of good lifters/good guys and gals there.)
I had a similar squat. I should have that and more pretty quickly once I throw the belt back on.
That’s awesome. I’ve never hit 500. I just missed 468 my last meet and settled for 440. I’d like to hit 500 in the 198’s before I die but I’m not sure that will ever happen unless I give up my other hobby and really chase it, and maybe peak with Smolov. Time is ticking and I’m not getting any younger, though.
Make it happen. Let it happen.
I posted my current lifts a little earlier in the thread.
At the time of injury, I’d only squatted 600lbs the on time - I’d never gone past 400lbs before that. It was a mistake that I ended up paying for in the long run.
My bench at the time was 275 3x6 (after a previous injury from 300lbs).
So lifts were…
Bench press: 275
Squat: 400 (600 one time, injury occured)
Deadlift: 300
Overhead Barbell: 160
Tricep Pulldown: 170
Curl: 125
Seated Cable Row: 220
Leg Extensions: 220
Close Grip Bench: 175
I’m not trolling, really have no reason to do that.
Anyone that can squat 400/600 dosen’t take the time to also list what they can do on tricept push down LoL, guys who squat 135, talk about they’re big tricept push down numbers Just shut up for 2-3 years and lift—531—would be a good place to spend a couple years. Oh ya no tricept push downs in that routine, train that with the smolov on it’s own day, Goodluck !

Thanks , Im not so good with the compute, wouldnt know how to switch to over 35, but in my 20s I weighed 210-220, My best meet squat was 505 at 200, wish I hadnt of dieted down, it was buddies advice.(550 was gym squat) Im putting in the work now to get things back, it was all comming pretty well, but my squat has recently stalled at 350x5, about 150lbs from where it used to be, So this is where the real work begins. Hoping to do a meet in about a year, at 40, and be back around 1500 where I left it. Ill be checking out both yours, and Spar4tee, log`s, looks good !

None of this makes any fucking sense whatsoever.

This is what happened shortly after OP tried to squat 600.
