In judo its generally thought to be bad form to make people land on the head.
It happens but its shouldn’t be what your intending.
if it looks like you do it on purpose, or do it allot, you don’t get to play in the sand box again.
Amplitude - the word of the day regarding height on a throw more a factor in Greco Roman then Judo.
Big wheels as we call them are nice, but scoring isn’t weighted that way.
You can throw- any throw for Ippon, the perfect point and stop the match.
Judo is so civilized.
Greco Roman, outside of the US is a bloody free for all, by comparison
I think its natural to bust balls with your peeps, a good natured beat down is fine,
if its a regular thing past say 20 and it involves alcohol then maybe you need to
scrutinize a few things.
Apparently before I stopped drinking I was quite the one for the fisticuffs

Ahh, I like your style…pick an internet fight with a yoked out dude who has 85 lbs and 5 inches on you, carrying a precision firing weapon, who cannot paste his identity all over the internet because he is out hunting terrorists while you still do your laundry at your mother’s house.
HolyMac has pasted his face thousands of times on this site.
And i shake my head at your stupidity.
I have wrestled with many of my bros in the past, we never throw fists on eachother though. I would definately spar any of them with gloves though, the point would be to see who is more skilled, etc without anyone getting beat up too badly. One of my buddies who was a D1 Lineman goes 6’4" about 370 once told me I couldn’t tap him with a RNC.
I was like dude, you’re an idiot, your wight advantage would instantly be nullified as soon as I got your back. He is like oh yea, take it right now and submit me. I said, Ok, got behind him, applied the choke and in about 10 seconds he was out cold on the ground. He came to a couple seconds later and started laughing his ass off. “holy shit, I didn’t think that shit really worked that fast.”
Some of my other friends who have size and strength on me have fallen pray to a drunken armbar or two also. Allthough one friend who was a very good HS wrestler and is short and stock wiped the “rug” with me one time when I challeneged him. I was very drunk, but he could have probably taken me anyways.
The best story though, this one friend of ours is the typical meathead type. Big dude, probably 240 is, solid muscle, gets drunk when we were probably second year in college and starts going around the party telling people to give him a shot to the face. Now no one is falling for this, he was obviously just looking for an excuse to take a swing on someone. So my buddy, actually my best man, says no to him but he keeps asking him, com one just do it. My buddy goes 5’9" MAYBE 160 and just rips one shot into our other meathead friends jaw. Lights out, for like a good few minutes. We all made fun of his ass after that and drank more beer all night.
I think overall, sparring and wrestling are fun, as long as you have good friends who know not to get too carried away and take shit too far, it’s all good fun. Guys are supposed to lock horns now and again.
Let me just say that if you are on here, you should buy Biotest. It is that simple. When someone blasts me on here that is a LEVEL 0, I simply ignore it. Reason being: free rides always have a price. The price for not being a Biotest customer? Not getting the full potential out of your supplements.
Are there some products out there that are not Biotest that are really good? Yes. Can you buy them? Yes. Just remember to massage the hand that feeds you; buy Biotest. Feed the beasts: one being you, the other being this mecca, this Holy Grail, this Megan Fox of an iron-moving community.

Gee, thanks for the marketing pitch. Now take your hardon elsewhere… I doubt most people in this forum really care.

Sorry, man, but you know it is the truth. There must be something inside of you that shouts UNGRATEFUL for being a level f’ing ZERO with over ten thousand posts? Here is what I am grateful for on this Thanksgiving: Biotest.

No, there’s “something inside me” that doesn’t fucking care.

noob question but in a real self defence situation would a kata-guruma be performed by throwing the opponent onto their head and is it just not done in competition to avoid serious injury or is throwing them onto their side et how its meant to be perfomed?
also is there rules in the ufc etc stopping ppl getting thrown directly on their head?
I think Osoto-gari would be a better choice for self defence, but that could just be my own bias as it’s worked well for me. Very simple to set up. Also instead of grabbing the jacket lapel you can grab the neck.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Kata-guruma, that and Te-guruma (also a nice choice for self defence) are my bread and butter for competitions, but there’s more practical throws you can use in a real fight.
But you never know, I know a Judo Sensei who got a manslaughter conviction for an Uchimata to some guy fighting in a bar parking lot. I thought that was pretty impressive to pull off in a street fight (the Uchimata not the manslaughter conviction).

You are right. When I was inside of you last night, you said that I was the greatest “something” that you have ever had, and I replied, “I don’t fucking care. Fag.”

Really? That’s the best you can do? An dick sucking session for Biotest and then some shitty gay joke?

There are websites out there that provide tons of information and don’t sell any products or expect you to buy anything.
I think it’s more like you are trying to justify your purchases.
