Dips were flat, but OK. I will make commentary later. Have a good Friday!
I could not get my camera to take a picture that was right side up this morning. A bit frustrating.
The session itself was not bad. The dips were lackluster, but my follow up sets, post set one, had more reps than usual. But, am liking the less resistance, more sets and reps approach. I guess I will see how I feel later today.
Tonight is Action Movie Friday Night. A couple of pals come over and we find a movie with a lot of explosions and F words. We also eat like . Tonight is chili fries and Code Red Mountain Dew. I will probably just have one glass. I think we are watching that Amazon film with Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista. I hear it is all right. If we have a double feature I think I will put on The Big Lebowski.
Aside from tonight’s movie madness, I have been eating like . I just have no focus. I would look like a million bucks if I could start cutting back on calories and drop thirty pounds. Right now I look like a guy who is trying to exercise his way out of a bad diet. A million bucks might be hyperbole, but I know you all get it. Earlier in the week my wonderful daughter brought me a Cubano for dinner from a local BBQ place. Tasty, but probably 5000 calories.
There is no sense griping about it, I just need to shut my mouth and deny the excess. I have been eating more eggs, plus more protein shakes. Protein shakes have not usually been part of my rapporteur. I could use more protein though.
I hope you all have a good weekend. See you Monday!
Thank you! Right now consistency has kept me off of the operating table. I really have no desire to spend 12 hours to have rods put in place, then a 3+ month recovery period. I had a hard time getting over the COVID, I cannot imagine what recovery from rod surgery is like. Plus I understand there is no guarantee. Thank you for stopping in.
Still sick/ill. I have not COVID tested, I do not know if that is pertinent at this time. Not a bad session. Hopefully I improve as the week continues.
It’s going around. Both my wife and I were feeling pretty poorly about a week ago. Overall we are both much better but the cough continues to hang on… Hope you are better very soon.
A new academic block starts today. I am a bit behind getting ready so I have to postpone my session until the PM. I think I perform better in the mid-PM (I would have to look at results to make that accurate…), but I prefer the early AM sessions.
I am feeling better. I can move around without sucking wind. I have a couple of co-workers who were complaining of similar symptoms. I could run class, etc. it was just getting from A to B that was the problem. I have not felt that short of breath since the first time I had the My Corona virus. Who knows? It came and went.
It has finally started snowing. Not much. A mild winter to say the least. I swapped out high performance tires on the Mini Cooper to all weather. That is proving to be a good choice. If we were having an average winter I think the Subaru (my fishing car) would be on tap.
Well, just a check in. This training log holds me accountable. Obviously I am not as strong, or have the low body fat that I had 30 years ago, but just stopping in and posting gives a sense of accomplishment.
Well, everyone be safe, have a good workout, and on to this evening.
As far as snow goes, glad you are getting some. My friend lives in Colorado and said everyone is freaking out about the lack of snow on the slopes this year.
Odd year for sure. The south got a bunch of snow and the west is wishing it did.
I agree with having a training log here keeping you accountable.
