Edit: I pulled out my Indian clubs while waiting for the 49er game to start. I worked my shoulders pretty good for twenty minutes. To be honest I forgot about them. My Alsatian rolled his squeaky ball under the couch. Au viola’, there were my Indian clubs!

Good morning fellow T - Nation habituaters. It is Monday. I could not sleep, what better way to fill those sleepless moments with a workout and sauna. No Pre-Workout this early AM, I do want to sleep eventually. Multiple Limb Movement Disorder can $&@+ me.

That aside, I actually put in a good session. I got a big huff and puff from legs, and a nice tight skin feel in my lats, arms, and chest.

I got my neck work and 20 minute IR sauna worked in as well.

My wife turns 60 in 2027. I think I would like to take the East Caribbean cruise. I am not sure which cruise line.

It was weigh on Monday. I was 201 last week, this week I was at 204 lbs. Certainly the wrong direction. That was a disappointment.

I jumped 3 pounds this morning, too. Luckily I ate the last chocolate chip cookie last night, my 5th of the day. So hopefully things will go the other direction now.

You just have to stay with it. That’s the crazy thing about weight loss. I have to remind myself to not get too fired about a pound or two in the wrong direction.

This is a “thumb nail sketch”. I was slow this morning. I was disorganized. I had a lower midsection upset going on. No breakfast yet either.

* I lowered the notch one lower for this weeks incline press. It created more resistance. I should have noticed this some time ago. But after set one I realized I had kicked the bear. When rep 4 in set three was stalling my elbows at 90°. Maybe I should have slid into rest/pause?

I felt like dozing in the sauna. I would like one I could lie down in. The Magic 8 Ball does not see that in my future.

I weighed post workout and sauna. I did drink a 20 oz Sacramento Athletics cup of water while sauna-ing. I weighed in at 200 lbs. on the dot. I think weighing daily, or close to daily is better than the once a week method I had been up to. I can be more aware of any deviating from eating to meet my first goal of 190 lbs. I have no set date for that goal. I would expect to arrive at 190 lbs. in mid March?

I was perusing the Facebook Market Place this evening. In Oakley, UT there is a Universal Multi Station Gym for sale for $1. It looks in good shape. If you are in the SLC or Park City area it is there for the taking.

I have found exactly the same thing. Breakfast seems to rule the rest of my day. Best of luck with the No S project.

I would recommend daily weighing. Like others have said don’t get hung up if you bump up a pound or two one morning. I have been doing this for years and tracking a 5 day moving average over that time (I know, its the engineering nerd in me!).

It must have been the holiday spirit yesterday because I blew off any thought of putting in a session.

I recalled this morning I needed to get my third session in this week.

Pre-Workout: 20 oz of coffee

I felt strong, but stalled at ten reps on the dips in the first set. Maybe a few more breaths and I could have added one or two more. The same with sets two and three.

Everything else felt pretty good. As always I tried to be efficient but not race through the workout. Not a volume approach, but not HIT either.

So:

Total Time: 22 minutes

Total Reps: 137

I took a 20 minutes sauna to wrap things up. Walked out of that, was curiously light headed, so I have been sitting for sometime.

I ate like :poop: yesterday so maybe I have dropped the the blood sugar? Or, I am just tired.

My five months of being an empty nester is ending Sunday. My daughter took an externship for speech language therapy in Idaho Falls. A good friend of mine is going to bat for her husband to get a geologist job with the USFS. They will be living with us as their future unfolds. It appears the USFS and the BLM need geologists.

School on Monday. Depending on how I feel, I will post another session on Monday or Tuesday? Have a great weekend.

Edit: I thought today was Saturday? Who knew? See you Monday!

Monday is Monday. Session in.

Pre-Workout: A mix of whatever I have left in various cans.

Start: 5:17 AM. End: 5:44 AM. 27 Mins

I scalded my fore arm yesterday. One of those things. It is peeling this morning. Edit: I did get it under very cold water immediately. That felt really good. I took a bath and kept my arm out of the water this morning. Dabbed it with the towel to keep moisture off of it. The blisters have deflated over night. Probably rubbed against blankets, etc.

This morning’s session was a bit better paced, I timed with a stop watch. Better than usual. I think…

Well, here’s to the close of another Holiday season.! Days are starting to lengthen!
