Thank you everyone for the condolences. I am not sure what the autopsy showed. I know I typed heart attack. It may have been cardiac arrest. I did not ask when I got home from work. I had a stomach flu/virus last evening starting about midnight. At 5:30 I started loading the Imodium. I made work. Then I got home and crashed.

So, the 7:20 PM start.

Surprisingly, with sudden fluid and weight loss, once I started I felt strong.

Instead of going all out on dips set one, I want to even out each set, then move up up a rep per set. I want to see how that goes. Or, do one all out set, and move on to rows.

Rows felt weak on the third set. On deadlift I caught a second wind on that third set. Up right row I added resistance.

I was going to pedal, but I am still slightly nauseous. Tomorrow.

Otherwise see you Monday!

Nice workout while under the weather.

Hope you feel better quickly.

I am getting there! I was going to do rounds on the cobra bag, but with a new born in the house the cobra bag is too loud. Pedaling it is. Have a great weekend.

Great session! Couldn’t be more impressed with doing that with a stomach bug!

I swung my Indian clubs for a few minutes. Not much, not a lot of umpff. They have a learning curve.

Into March! The snow is melting. Unfortunately the water is sitting, not seeping. My German Shepherds are turning into Labradors.

Good workout this morning. Still feeling it. Reps were up by fourteen overall. Extra resistance next week!

See you Friday!

Edit: Someone gave us a pound of ground venison yesterday afternoon. I am not a fan of game. I ended up mixing it with about a 1/2 pound of pork and making a chili. It worked, but I cannot abide venison. I have had people give me elk salami, now that is amazing.

Regarding this morning, little sleep last evening, so I started early again. Not bad sessions considering such early starts. I load up on the doughnut shop blend. I keep thinking I am going to ride sprints on the Airdyne, but it usually remains in the ā€œthinking about itā€ stage.

My around the house strength and stamina are improving. After the COVID I could barely lift pellet bags (for the pellet stove) and bags of dog food were a death struggle. Simple things like getting out of the car, getting off the couch were frustrating. I have mentioned that before, but now I can get out of the car, get off the couch, etc. Without needing a push off with my hands. As aging continues the need to be physically fit and meet daily demands (snow shoveling, etc.) are becoming more important. Trying to retain some aesthetics regarding my physique, muscle tonus and size are part of the program (OK, I know, I complain about my waist). People do get surprised when they hear my age, they think I am younger, but it takes work.

Great job on that workout! Glad to hear the progress is still going strong! (I’m with you on not much sleep last night…) Amen on the need to be fit as we age. That becomes more apparent every day…

I do not envy you… It’s pretty to look at (from indoors), but that’s about it…

Slept well. Woke early. I started about 4:25. Was on the Soloflex at 4:45 AM.

Pre Workout: Doughnut Shop Blend

Paired my ab stimulator with pedaling the Cyclotrainer.

Not bad top to bottom:

Feel swole. It is Friday!

See you Monday.

Edit: Backed the Mini out of the garage, went for a running start backing out of the driveway, and buried it up to the doors in snow. (I had shoveled…) Out came the shovel and salt. the Latvian snow shovel challenge began. I got it out. Usually, by this time of year we are snow free. Not this year. Now I am wondering if I can get it back in the garage.

A nice workout followed by an unexpected extra workout shoveling snow. Life is just hard sometimes… Way to get it done!

I am not sure it is hard, I am just glad I am at a fitness level that I can get out and get the job done. My mother’s friend’s father, some years back, got overly upset about a BYU football loss. So to blow off some steam he headed out and started shoveling off his driveway. They found him face first in the snow. He had a heart attack. He had just started throwing snow to vigorously and his heart decided to hell with it. Thanks for the kudos.

5:00 AM Start

Pre Workout: Doughnut Shop Blend

Good session this morning. I feel like I worked out. That might sound odd, but the body has a feel to it after a good workout. A very post workout pump going.

Also, this morning was efficient. Total time was 28 minutes +. I kept it close to 30 seconds between sets a minute between exercises. So I was able to keep my heart rate up.

See you Wednesday!
