Amen Crippler, have added dips in more recently and have been at the pullups for a couple years now. Good stuff!
I think it is a good metric for both level of fitness and exertion. For the last month my HR has seemed more elevated than it usually is on comparatively similar workouts/cardio sessions. Thatās probably because of taking time off over the holidays, putting on a few pounds, etc. So now Iām hoping to keep working toward doing similar workouts with a lower HR, which, IMO means Iām getting back into better cardiovascular shape. Sorry to go on and on. I think it is a good metric.
They work, no doubt about that.
I had an old history teacher in college who I saw every time I was in the gym. The fellow weighed about 135 lbs. and he was dipping away. He had some weight hanging from his waist, his hands were all chalked up, and he would attack that dip stand, he just a dude.

5:06 AM start.
Pre-work out: Fog Chaser
My legs felt particularly swole post workout. It was a good session. If I did not have to work I would nap.
I particularly like the new elastomers. I might buy the whole set.
See you Wednesday!

Early start, about 5:10 AM
The ab stimulator did its thing. I need to keep those muscles tight.
Good pump!
Plus four Tabata cycles on the Airdyne.
A good session. The strength training took 24:00 mins.
See you Friday!
Good, fast work.
Thank You! I guess moving through a session efficiently (for me) is a by product of the years I was doing Nautilus.
Edit: There are stretches where I actually take in 60-90 minute sessions, but I do like shorter bouts.

Start: 5:20
Pre-work out: Doughnut Shop Blend
Good session. I feel āspentā. Between rows and deadlift I can feel āitā through my upper back.
Dips are getting better. Slowly.
See you Monday!
Edit: I shoveled snow for about 30 minutes while I waited for my work ride. So I guess that is yardio? I did not get winded, etc. I am in better condition than I thought. I believe embedded in the old Cyberpump forum is the Latvian Snow Shovel Challenge. Today I did about 30 minutes of the Latvian Snow Shovel Challenge. Carry On!
Yardio. I like it. It looks like that is what I have coming tonight.
Good to hear all this exercise is paying off. Shoveling snow and didnāt get winded means you are harder to kill.
There have been winters that shoveling snow equated with running from wolves, life and death.
Good looking workout and glad to hear that shoveling snow was a walk in the park. I donāt know how people who donāt exercise regularly are able to do things like that. It is not easy work.
I cannot take credit for the yardio term. But it works.
Not strength related, but we had a granddaughter arrive yesterday. Miss Florie. Six and a half pounds, eighteen inches. That is our third. Mum and baby are great. So is dad.
Congratulations, grandpa!!!
congrats
Congrats, lovely news
