I’m gonna have to go along with them on this. It only makes sense. Put yourself in the place of the corrections officer. You have all these inmates that have all the time in the world to workout and get strong, and on top of that, some of them don’t have anything to lose if they kill a guard or two.
I also read somewhere about using soy in the prison food to keep the prisoners more docile as well, can’t remember where I read that, though.

I believe you maybe thinking of MSG…not soy. The cooks will through MSG in soups stews any they can mix it with. It “supposed” to help reduce sex drive etc.
In Federal Detention Centers(temporary lodging for future deportees or Federal prisoners) it is common that officals include a dose of salt peter (potassium nitrate) with the morning meal. While the potassium nitrate has no effect on sexual urges, it does prevent the inmate from attaining an erection. While this practice has been deemed unconstitutional in most states, the ACLU apparently hasn’t got down to illegal aliens awaiting deportation yet.
