I am not sure why people think I didn’t use the medical info I learned to get big.

It sure as hell wasn’t easy. The average person won’t lift weights non-stop more than 5 days a week for over a decade without fail.
Honest question. During your ‘building’ years to get to where youre at, did you incorporate deload weeks? I am doing a deload week this week(I am older 37), but just want to know did you just keep plowing through, or did you deload some?

Somebody bigger than he is.

The shoe fits.

Bluebrasil, your profile is set to private, no doubt from the hundreds of pestering PMs you probably receive day after day, asking for advice.

How much have you accomplished over the years to be able to so confidently make the claims you do?

No on the “deload weeks”. You learn to listen to your body. I know when I need to work more on form and using a more moderate weight and when I need to really go hard and heavy. Earlier on, there were way less “moderate” days than now…but I am working more on feeling the muscles working now and on general “conditioning” when training (lower weight, less rest, more movements).

At 37, your tendons and joints will not recover like someone in their early 20’s. So yes, it may be necessary for someone who has not done this for many years to actually plan for these times instead of try to go by feeling.

I just look at his avatar and see someone who is very good at bodybuilding. most people who try hard to do the same fail at it.

yes, that could be down to PX’s hard work, but could also (but not exclusively) be down to his “giftedness”

LOL at this. You are trying way too hard to make it seem like getting really big is easy. If it were, there would be more guys like that walking around. I see very few today carrying enough muscle mass to equal a big pro football player unless they play football.

You do not know what you are talking about…and several people here have told you that now.
i didnt say it was easy, i said that you seem to be gifted at it. as such you couldnt possibly appreciate how difficult it is for others
Wait a minute… in one breath you discredit this doctor, yet you don’t seem to realize those “easy gains” you speak of had everything to do with his medical background and subsequent extensive knowledge of human biology.

You can just stop now because you sound like a dick.
clearly you dont need to be a doctor to succeed at bodybuilding. well, its clear to me.

and theres no need to call me names.it makes you sound stupid

Yeah, that would be a lie.

What do you do?
I missed this yesterday, otherwise I would have answered. Im a property industry surveyor with postgrad academic qualifications plus professional qualifications on top of those. 7 years worth of initial training then cpd thereafter.

Question? what do you call the person who graduated from med school with the poorest exam results?
Answer. Doctor.

my point is that being a doctor doesnt make on cleverer than someone in other professions
??

It makes them educated in how the body works…which you are now speaking on as if you have educational experience…and reaching incorrect conclusions.

When people who actually are trained in those areas speak on those areas, why do guys like you speak up so loudly?
I have no formal medical training but have learned that people who do have formal training are not necessarily particularly gifted in the field they trained in.

things are rarely as black and white as you try to portray things. there are a million shades of grey. a million ways to do things. yours is no the only way. surely you learned that in medical school?
Why did you compare yourself, a construction professional to something completely different.

I am in the building surveying field and no way in hell does it come close to the medical field.

Sure the basics are easily grasped but deeper down you have a very different type of information which you need to learn and build upon.

I find it quite funny you made the comparison, its like comparing an apple to an orange.

BB probably meant genetically gifted, since Prof X is black. You know, that myth…

Not all blacks pack on muscle that easily anyway. Some still have to train twice as hard to look massive. Especially those with ectomorphic builds.

Exactly. And if I remember correctly, Prof X started out looking not so unlike Urkel.

Where the hell is Frank?

Thanks, not to get into my training history, I just started trying a deload week where I still go to gym but dont keep hitting like I normally do, that week. In the past this is where I probably got burnt out and stopped going to the gym for that while, and have to start all over.

I don’t have a problem with you DN. I am sure that doesn’t even matter to you either. Maybe he is racist, maybe he isn’t, only he knows that for sure. But, in your own way you just implied he might be. That’s pretty messed up. Whether you want to ackowledge this or not Prof X is GIFTED. He is a doctor, who also is a big, well built man. That is not a bad thing. I do not think either one of those accomplishments were even remotely EASY for him or anyone who can do that. But, I think he is ‘gifted’ and it has absolutely ZERO to do with his race or mine

I also think Frank Yang is ‘gifted’ as well. Frank you are one gifted dude

The reason I asked, is that I had an idea of what you started out as a beginner and how you’ve gotten to the point of where you are now.

You went through college, dental school, and in the meantime, still busted your ass in the gym and learned through trial and error of what worked (or didn’t) for you. Not to mention, overcoming injuries and most recently, an auto accident.

Sounds like you were given a gift to me. /sarcasm

WOOAAAAA. Take it easy now. Lol.

I’m sure you’d read many of my posts around here and I’m sure you must be aware that I ain’t the kind to tiptoe around people. If I want to call out someone a racist, I will do it. What BB wrote didn’t sound racist to me at all.

I wasn’t aware that stating that black people are genetically gifted when it comes to muscle growth is racist. I see this as a myth, and sometimes as a ‘‘positive’’ stereotype. And if that’s racism, then that’s not the type I’d pull my race card for. No sir. Also, it makes so much sense to me as to why BB was being so careful with his words.

When people see a black man with big muscles they generally attribute it to being genetically gifted – which is not always true. Read some of the posts over the BB subforum and check out the comments on black bodybuilders; the first thing that is mostly mentioned is the genes gift. Juicing comes later. And I believe that was the point BB was subtly trying to make with words like, ‘‘it comes naturally to you…’’ despite Prof reiterating that he worked twice as hard to get massive.

Good post. I don’t care how “gifted” anyone is, there is a certain point in development beyond which no one will pass without years of hard work and perseverance.

To take an easy example, Arnold was genetically “gifted” as hell (and, incidentally, not black). Yet there isn’t a soul on this site who would discount the fact that there are few people who’ve ever inhabited planet Earth who worked harder to reach the level he did.

I know you don’t hold back, that’s why I said you probably wouldn’t care if I had a problem with you. Which I don’t. I probably took it wrong what you wrote. This whole time I was thinking like… Arnold is big, and ‘gifted’ and we have all seen the video proof that he had to bust his ass to get to where he was and it was hard work. I then read race being brought up, and had to say something. Oh well, it’s over for me now. Peace /

Totally Agree

What I cannot wrap my head around is this:

If black guys have the hyyyyoooooge penises, how come they have to compensate for it by being hyyyyyoooooge?

I am not even want to know how much of this is true, but if you put all the narratives together, it would look like this.

That does not make any sense whatsoever.
