Again, I cut short Candito’s “back off” sets because I just didn’t have much left. I have to get in all five workouts of his second week before Friday–I’m working a basketball camp this weekend and I know I won’t have the time or energy to get any lifting done.

That said, I am pretty happy with the way things have been going so far in this cycle. I left a rep or two in the tank on the max reps set at 295, and I’m looking forward to really pushing things next week.

Was supposed to do three triples (325, 335, 340) this morning, but I just didn’t have it. Third rep at 325 was really slow, so I didn’t want to try to push things too much and miss a rep–like I did yesterday on bench.
