Forever Alone

2busy- Okay I just came up with a great (IMO) idea for the punishment. The people who lose have to submit a picture of themselves curling in the squat rack with extreme exertion or doing something else extremely retarded. The winner gets to assign a meme to the pictures and post them in the demotivational thread.

What do you think? [/quote]

Oh that works for me, lol!

VERY good idea!

No. I could eat six times a day and I probably should be. I was just thinking that I probably should be eating more given that two people are ahead of me in the race for the 225lb deadlift and the easiest way to catch up would be to gain weight

So it would be helpful.

BTw, we could always change the punishment to something like posting a picture of yourself with the writing “X kicked my ass” on it as your avi for a week, if the meme idea is a bit much.

That works too…

*suspects there will a lot of “Oleena kicked my ass” or “Hallowed kicked my ass” on my avatar…

I’m feeling pretty depressed today. I completed the study guide for my evolution class and am currently turning it into flashcards on my ipad app to memorize tomorrow. I haven’t even changed out of my pjs. Just been sitting around all day looking up terms. I also found out that I probably wont be doing the gymnastics thing as you of course need healthy insurance for that. Of course. What was I thinking?

Anyway.

lunch: +25

snack: +25

shake: +15

I like this HELLA! I didn’t do great on food today but ill post in my log tomorrow and someone can double check my points assessment

I think it’s great you joined the tumbling club. Sounds like a brilliant opportunity. Check out Nadia’s log if you want gymnastics inspiration - she is the real deal (unlike me!)

Olee! I never answered your question!
I got an undergrad in nutritional sciences and exercise physiology and a masters in exercise physiology. I’m in a development program now and then the place i work actually will pay for me to get a doctorate in ex phys next year.

The boyfriend character in my life got a masters in medicinal chemistry prior to going into med school and we actually met 5 years ago in a chem lab. That may skew my liking of chem.

Regardless: I HATED labs. I almost never found them applicable to what was going on in lecture

cal- I didn’t join the tumbling club due to the insurance thing. If I was to get insurance just to do the gymnastics, it would bring the total monthly amount I’d be spending on it to $200 (and that’s with the cheapest plan I could find online). I definitely can’t afford that right now.

Hallowed- Sounds good. I’ll check them out.

Dasher- lol. You’re probably the most educated person on this board concerning exercise.

I also enjoyed chemistry, but that’s because it’s always made sense to me and my instructors have been amazing. I found that out of all of my classes, the chemistry instructors were the most organized and our labs actually did correspond perfectly to what we were doing in class. I especially liked organic chemistry, because the instructor had every part of his lecture outlined, with corresponding chapters from the book noted, which worksheets we were supposed to work on each week, and which mechanisms we should have memorized for every day of the semester. If I ever teach, I’m going to set up my class exactly like his.

Of course, my biochem instructor is the worst one I’ve had so far, but he still isn’t bad. He just can’t answer a question to save his life. He has no idea where students are getting confused.

Points:

Dinner: +20

total for yesterday: 110

Today breakfast: +25

Still feeling down today. I need to get out of the house and do shit. I think I’m going to go spend half the day taking pictures of plants just to accomplish that and end it by seeing where my push-press is at.

I haven’t felt this un-energized and melancholy in ages. Charlie (my conure) has been glued to my neck since the second I woke him up, which is always a sign that I’m not doing so hot. That bird is freakishly in-tune with those around him.

HELLO!
Your pullup video would have been way better, if I had actually seen the side-boob that I almost thought I was going to see.
Kidding, it was fantastic anyways!
Nice back!

I sent you a pm.

See!!? The there is always something with the training partners. I had TWO of mine move away and many more flat out quit. I think I’m cursed.

As for the pullup video, I can’t make it TOO inappropriate…

Dang Leena shit news Bout the insurance.

Boo

Oleena: I’m sorry you can’t take the gymnastics class. But, I’m much more sorry to read that you are uninsured. That’s a tough one.

Hope you feel better soon.

I guess I’m glad to be in England. We don’t need to take out insurance. There are private healthcare providers who do insure people and you get a better standard of care if you are sick or injured, but if you can’t afford it there’s still the National Health Service which is free. Granted, getting to see specialists is tough (I have an appointment in April, having injured my foot back at the end of June last year) but if you fall off a vaulting horse and break your leg, you’ll get whisked off to hospital for free.

Cal- That would be a nice change. I haven’t had insurance for the last two years and before then, I didn’t have it for about 10 years (worked a job for two years that had it). You’re pretty much SOL over here if you happen to be working at all and aren’t making enough money to pay for it.

Nadia- Story of my life. No new ground there. That’s what you get if you aren’t born to parents who make money and you decide you want to complete school. I suppose I could drop out, or change majors to something easier so I could work full time, but whatever.

Hallowed- So today starts our challenge  Good news for you- shit went down last night so I haven’t been eating great.

What happened last night:

When I got off work last night, two police were standing in my apartment interviewing my boyfriend. This was completely out of the blue. He’s the most law-abiding citizen I’ve ever met. It turns out that his buddies hadn’t told him the full story about their shooting range set up, something went wrong (not going into details, but no one was hurt), and the police tracked it down to him. Fucking bad luck. So he’s pretty worried about that and what’s going to happen. I don’t think much will happen- the police really liked him. I doubt anything more than a tiny slap on the hand will come down. But it was stressful beyond belief last night. He’s never been in trouble like that before.

This morning I had my evolution test, which was also terrible. I have NO idea how I did. Most of the class was still working on the test by the end of the hour. I did the equations part first and finished the exact minute the instructor announced it was over. I’m pretty sure he’s a new teacher (definitely young) who hasn’t figured out timing and how to word things. Actually, in general, he words everything the opposite way that most people would think of saying it. You have to do mental gymnastics during his lectures to figure out what he’s talking about (wouldn’t have a clue if it wasn’t for the book). So I think there’s probably going to be a curve and who knows how I did. That class is comprised of all the smartest people from my other classes. I could have done well thanks to getting through all of it before them, or they could have smoked my ass by thinking about it more.

On the bright side, my home workout equipment came today. I’m currently in the lab waiting for the autoclave to finish and taking pictures of glowing things in plants.

Food:

breakfast: +20pts
lunch:+20pts

That’s pretty much it. More after I get home and put this whole thing together.

Worked out in my own living room with my own 7’ bar and weights  It was great. However, I didn’t have time to set up the entire bench and squat rack (that’s gonna take 3 hours at least according to the amazon reports), so I was cleaning the weight up every time I was push-pressing.

Got up to 110lbs and couldn’t push it up any more. BTw, I have no idea how much the bar weighs. It’s definitely not 45lbs. Everyone on amazon.com is guessing between 10-15lbs, so I’m going to say it’s 10lbs to be fair for our competitions on here.

Did 6 sets of push-press (working up to a max, starting with 6reps each set and dropping down as I progressed up), and 6 sets of bent-over-row (80lbs) super-setted with wide-grip pullupsn (4 reps first 3 sets, 3 reps last 3 sets). And this was all done in the near-nude. And yes, it’s as great as I thought it would be.

Exercise+10
workout+25
shake+nuts+cuties+20

I ate the cuties just for Hallowed, cause I’m going to beat her

Total for the day: +95
