For the Haters of DW

Hey DW if you are in NY city there is a strongman comp in Chester NY Aug 12th. Check it out on nystrongman.com or nastrongmaninc.com, and go to the Anvil ezboard, there is info on an open training day next Saturday.

Good work in that strongman comp, I know for damn sure I wouldn’t be able to be that competitive if I entered a class 40lbs over my weight.

One thing I’m curious about is, are you short? Don’t take this as an insult, but you look bigger then 160 in some photo’s and I was wondering how you look larger then you are? [Sorry if that doesnt make sense, its late].

I’m 5’5" and 155lbs.

One tip for you DieselWeasel, that my ol’ grandma told me when i was a kiddie:

“If you have nothing constructive or good to say, shut the f… up!”

Good luck with your lifting.

Never ever have i ever seen such a big ego’s as yours. You have the heart, but your ego is stopping your progress.

Before you come running and telling; but you have progressed, i tell you this:

I will be much more impressed if you lower the weights 50lbs and then use perfect technique!

Using heavy weights is just brushing your ego - there are many people like you but - why this narrsistic approach?

We see you are strong, and it is great - but why hitching a weight like you very going to make it pregnant? save that effort for the ladies!

have you ever seen a class powerlifter hitch a weight?

get your act together and grow up, you clown!

I’m focused on competing on Saturday, but I checked the weights for each event at your show and it looks like it’s too heavy for me.

I like how you completely edited the text that you quoted to make me look like the bad guy.

No, powerlifters don’t hitch their deadlifts, BUT I’M A STRONGMAN, NOT A POWERLIFTER.

It looks like you’re the one who needs to “grow up”, considering you didn’t give me any constructive criticism besides the generic “lower the weight!!#@$&*)” and then calling me a clown.

saying have you ever seen a class powerlifter hitch a make makes no sence. in powerlifting you arent aloud to hitch a weight or it dosent count. max is not a powerlifter. he is a strongman. in strongman compitions you are aloud to hitch a weight and it will still count.

DW.

Why is it that every single time you start to post on this site people get all fired up and end up flamming you?

Every single time. You get in a argument EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I respect the fact that you compete. But please, please check the ego at the door.

This is not BB.com, we respect those who have earned in, not those who yell the loudest.

Ah, that explains it. Have you considered bulking up to say ~200lbs? I’m not calling you small, but surely with another 45lbs of muscle on your frame you’d be even more competitive as a strongman [It seems to me that most strongman comps I’ve seen start at around the 205lb class mark].

Yeah, I obviously came in here, called people names and started arguments. It was ME, all ME!

read the threads. i haven’t seen dw initiate a single fight. i’ve only seen him dish back what he didn’t want to eat, which was usually a plateful of smelly retarded insults sparked by the fact that some wannabe strongman got his ego hurt because dw didn’t want to indulge in the same old,tired-out-condescending-stock advice.

Now, for the most part, I support the guy, and I even donated on Jesse’s board, but he does occasionally start the fight. Not so often now, but he was pretty damn quick to dish out insults himself in the past.

In any event, have fun in Washington, DW.

it’s not like you’re paying money for this. i’m certainly not “impressed” with this video, the way i am with the rezazadeh vid for instance, but i’m still glad it’s there and i hope to see more of them. i’m glad dw is taking the time to share, and i’m gaining exposure to new things like strongman competitions, training grip strength through tearing and bending, and who jesse marunde is because of it.

i really don’t get you old fucking dumbasses who don’t get the internets. newsflash buddy:

media isn’t a rare and special thing anymore.

there’s plenty of room to post stuff that isn’t a world record. in fact posting something you did yesterday, like blowing your nose, on the internets has become as completely common as stepping outside your front door and saying hi to the mailman. sharing your life on the net today is a simple and basic social tool. which i know probably doesn’t fit into your narrow little reality either because it somehow involves relating to another being.

dude really, go the fuck away.
there’s obviously nothing interesting for you here except the oportunity to whine about how bored and unimpressed you are like you’re paris fuckin hilton you stuck-up blase-bitch. do yourself a favor, man up, make better use of your time, and change the frickn channel already.
When in doubt, make wild baseless accusations about those with whom you disagree with. Oh, and for the record, I very much do enjoy WH Jr’s videos, particularly the weighted dips and 20 rep squat workout. In fact, they’re so entertaining that I probably would be willing to pay money for a dvd of them. Speaking of the 20 rep squat video, I actually think it has been adopted by the New York Film Academy next semester. Hollywood, watch out! The next generation of theatrical performers are being trained by the finest.

yeah ok, not that it’s got anything to do w/ me anyway. it’s just frustrating, especially on a board who’s motto is “dangerously hardcore”, that people don’t respect headstrong effort, and the right of everyone to do what their gonna do and how they’re gonna do it. same thing happened to that guy five-twelve, who’s gonna compete bb, and it’s prolly way to early for him, but so what ? he’s young and he’s gonna do it and everyone’s shooting him down. makes no sense to me, but that’s the way it goes. good luck in the comp dw.

I will admit to being a weak bitch if you stop posting in my threads.

How does that sound?
How about this, you stop posting lamo videos and get an attitude adjustment, and I’ll admit that gravity exists. Seriously, it’s a shame that someone who has honorably served in the United States Military would mar their reputation and potentially squander a God given ability because of pride and arrogance. It’s even sadder that people are encouraging this behavior.

You’re referring to my 225x21 squat set, not 225x20. Get your numbers right.

Do you know what it feels like to do a set like that? Like the case of the medley, if you never did it, don’t judge me or accuse me of faking anything, because that was as real it gets. If you don’t like the form in my videos or anything else about them, there’s a simple solution: Don’t watch them, you scumbag.

Thanks, swivel.
