I want to start the progression to learn the olympic lifts that you wrote about in a recent post. I have a pretty vain question though. I realize that the shrug is a key part of these compound explosive movements. My traps have a tendency to grow pretty fast. Do all the olympic lifts effect major growth in the traps like you see on the champion lifters? Is there a way to avert or minimize this? I know it’s a shallow question but my neck is naturally wide and I don’t want to look like a no-neck monster. Brian
why do you want to learn the lifts? they will add meat to your traps definately
Dman, I figure they would be useful for strength increases, full-body effect and caloric burn. BTW, do you go to UB?
