165 is prett thin, but if one’s lean at 5’8" 165 they could look decent. I have a question: Brad Pitt is a good looking guy and was obviously in good shape for fight club, but how and when did he become the universal standard for how thin guys who don’t want to get “too big”.
Seriously, it’s like clockwork. No one ever uses a different basis of comparison, it’s Pitt in fight club every time. What’s that about?
Most guys who train but “don’t want to get too big” are usually doing it for the girls.
Pitt has that ideal, lean v-shape physique in fight club and on top of that he’s supposed to be the biggest hollywood ‘hunk’. That’s what makes him a role model for those guys.
Thanks King Bling, someone whos reply is down to earth. Attracting females is more rewarding than attracting a fellow meathead in the gym that will say I’ve been lifting well. I could really care less what other males think about me. But that’s just me.
And Jehova is right, this thread is gone to shit. Why couldn’t people just write some solution like ‘refilling my glycogen by eating low GI carbs 12 hours before and high GI carbs 6 hrs before’ instead of criticizing my goals?

And don’t get too wound up by these posts. Many of the self-obsessed members here have a ‘holier than thou’ attitude; very arrogant. And it can be quite agitating.
In all honesty i don’t think any foods will really help you out, I agree with members who said carb loading although it won’t really make a significant difference at all. give it a shot anyway.
