Food Ideas for Bulking

olive oil
bananas

I’ve found the best thing for bulking for me, is to make huge pots of spaghetti and meatballs and microwave it anytime you want. I don’t know how many calories a day I eat, I just eat like hell. It’s very tasty too.

If you want 'BULK", do a traditional BB type diet.

Steak and Potato
Protein Powder and YAM
Eggwhites and Oatmeal,raisins,banana
Chicken and RICE
postworkout 60 g protein and 150 g HI GI Carbs
Get 2 g of protein per lbs of bodymass
get 4 g of carbs per pound of bodymass

Last meal of the day before bed
Have an extra Large Metabolic Drive Protein like 80 grams
with 2 tbs Flax
otherwise no fat maybe some efas with solid meals

alternate solid and liquid meals.

Chicken Breast!

I think you impose some unfair constraints on us… such as when people say drink milk… you say “I would but my wife won’t let me”.

Dude. You know what the hell to do to bulk up. Do it or don’t. Your wife is just jealous because you can eat twelve times what she can.

Anyway, I like to cook up some ground meat, well spiced, and throw it in a pot of pasta, tomato sauce, maybe a little parmisan cheese. Eat until you can’t eat anymore. Wait a bit. Eat again.

Convenience snacks can help… nuts and seeds, beef jerky, Grow! bars. As others have said, throw some olive oil into your cottage cheese maybe.

That sounds really freakin good.

I also used to do something simliar… Get a pound of ground beef, brown it in a pan and put taco seasoning in it (spices) and then put it in a bowl and mix in lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese and salsa.

Calorie dense taco salad, if you will.

One of the problems is that my wife is doing the exact opposite. She is absolutely disgusted with my eating lately. I mean she really gets mad when I pig out. Plus, there is no junk food in our house.

haha sorry had to say it
Anybody who says that obviously has no experience living with a significant other who gives two shits about their diet or how they look. It’s not as easy as just saying, “Hey, I’m going to keep this shitty ass food around…but you can’t touch it.”

In this case, Berardi’s advice comes into full effect: “If it’s there, someone will eat it…”

And before anyone comments on this issue…unless you’ve spent at least a year living with a girl (or in the case of the T-Vixens, a guy) you have absolutely no say in this issue. End of story.

For those who can “bulk” while having a wife or GF around without touching your food…I applaud you, but more importantly, I applaud her.

Amys organic chili

I hear ya’, but we all have our constraints. The idea of whole milk turns my stomach. I’ve been on skim for so many years that just about anything “creamy” is sickening. I also have a tendancy to baloon up in a real bad way if I eat too much crap. I know I need to just eat more, but I was hoping for some unique ideas to get away from simply pounding oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, cheese, meat (actually, I can deal with tons of meat), and shakes. And it really does disgust my wife when I eat like that. She’s an aerobics instructor. Very lean and hot. She’s very careful about what she eats. She understands what I’m doing, but it’s still gross to her. I like the idea of cooking up a big thing of spaghetti and eating it all week, especially with the new whole wheat protein pasta. 17g protein per serving in the pasta alone.

Hey for everyone that downs the tuna, are you ever worried about the mercury levels in it?
I’m not too worried about can tuna. Apparently it is mainly juvenile fish that are which don’t have the higher mercury counts.

While bulking I tend to eat a lot of oatmeal. It’s cheap, quick to fix, and helps to put on pounds. Cottage cheese is good to go between meals as well for the same reasons. I also get a lot of use from my crock pot; lots of sirloin roasts with taters.
