As school nears and I’m already working 40 hours I week I realized I need to work on my time management, big time. Just got back from the gym, about to head to work and slept in 'til damn near 10 am. Can’t be doing that shit anymore. Anyway-
Shot around for about half an hour to get loose, then
Close stance 18" banded box squats-barx2x5,95x5,135x5,185x5,225x5,255x5,275x5 [pretty easy was just on a time crunch and haven’t hit the rack in 2 weeks. Confident I’m good for at least 315x5 against the bands here].
GHR’s-3x5 super slow negative + ab supersets
seated calves 1 at a time-3x10
Tried some bw single leg stuff but all it did was munch up my knees, so stopped.
Pretty good workout all things considering. Realized today that my body has been taking a beating from all the heavy weights lately, so for the next 6 or so weeks I’m gonna keep all ME work in the 5-ish rep range, and probably do paused work for both upper and lower as well. Depending on how things go I’ll reevaluate from there. Gonna do rep upper manana, and before work on Saturday I’m gonna try and hit a highschool and run some sprints and maybe do some jumps, depending on what equipment is out there [assuming I can even get in anywhere].

I know you were esse, but I’d still like to know. I’m new to the bands myself, but I like 'em. If you don’t explode through as the weights get heavy you’re gonna get yanked back down, so it seems like they’d be great for strength and explosiveness. Gonna do sets of 5 with a close stance for the next month or so and see what happens. Give 'em a shot dude. Got mine from Texas Strength Systems. Set came with a pair of mini’s, super mini’s and average bands for about a hundo after shipping and taxes, so pretty Damn reasonable.
I had to get a pilonidal cyst removed. I couldn’t sit down or bend over too much for 6 weeks, and now I have to ease into lower body training. I’m getting back into the groove of things now, it’s crazy how out of shape you can be when you’re completely inactive for that long :/.
I Wish, Pop The Trunk, and Box Chevy Pt 3 are nice! I’ll give that Trunk Muzik 0-60 a listen. Looks like he’s working with Em and Jim Jonsin now. That’s a good look, he could make it big with those guys behind him. CyHi was on I Wish, too–he’s one of my favourite new guys.
Anyway, I’ll quit with the threadjacking, haha. I might start training for speed/athleticism after I get to a decent lean weight [probably around 190], so I’ll be taking notes.

Drank my face off Wednesday night and was hungover at work all day yesterday, but had a decent workout last night. Got to the gym about 9:45 and shot around for 20 minutes to get loose. Gonna change up some stuff for the next 6-8 weeks so did some different stuff last night.

Decided today that I’m gonna add in Waterbury’s plp 60 day challenge for the next 2 months. There’s a pullup bar at my job and for the last few days I’ve cranked out a few reps everytime I walk by, so thought I’d do something structured. Can do a pretty fair amount of pushups and pullups (60+ pushups, 25+ pullups) as is, so let’s see what I get out of this in the next 2 months. Gonna do each move a little differently each time so I never repeat the exact move 2 days in a row.

Man, I’ve been drinking way too much lately. I think I’ve been drunk (not buzzed but full on shit canned) 7 times in the last 2 weeks. Surprisingly my workouts haven’t seemed to have suffered, but its still not good for a variety of reasons. Also, I feel like ass today. Anyway-
Yesterday- 12 med grip overhand pullups
12 reverse lunges
12 db handle neutral paused pushups
ME upper in a bit, and ill probably just throw the plp stuff at the end.
Played ball for about 45 minutes to get loose, then-
Paused 2 board bench against doubled mini’s- barx2x10,95x5,135x5,155x5, [add bands]135x2,155x2,165x2,175x2,180x2, 185x10 straight weight. HOLY SHIT these were hard. Not sure how much weight the bands added, but I’m guessing anywhere between 30-50 per band, so 60-100lbs total at the top. These fried me. Being crazy hungover didn’t help.

Shoulder circuit of laterals, front raises and band pulls 3x10,10,10. Did the laterals Arnold style where you go all the way over your head and back. I’ve never had a shoulder pump like this. Awesome.

Was such an awesome day outside that I did my work at a park. Shot around for about an hour then did 6x3 kneeling jumps into rim grabs, then ran 8 sprints which is guess were probably about 20 yards. Ran on grass that was connected to the concrete court, and at the end of each Sprint as I was slowing down I’d grab the rim. Was super stiff this morning but still felt good to get out there and actually do what I keep putting off. Will gradually build into more volume/intensity. Moving into my new place manana, but will try and get a new dunk vid this week. Y’all be easy.
