Hey man,
I like your dunk vids - do more plz.
All the best with reaching your goals - looking forward to seeing them when you do.
My hometown court kicked me out recently for doing dunks - it was weird? Apparently they have a no dunking policy, but it doesn’t apply when you’re playing in a game.
It’s a bummer because I was planning on doing some vids to get some tips and stuff (was amped after reading the vert. thread) - my technique is pretty ordinary atm. But I’m on the lookout, so hopefully I’ll find a new ring soon.

What’s up Tank? Thanks man. I plan on getting a whole bunch more dunk vids in the coming months. Not having really played ball for a few years I feel like I’m getting more fluid with my jumping by the day [when healthy], so I plan on being back to where I was in my prime pretty soon. Did they give you a reason for kicking you out? There reasoning sounds pretty arbitrary. Do y’all have churches with gyms in 'em, or rec centers or something comparable?
Awesome man - looking forward to it! All the best.
It was weird, they have signs on the backboards with “No Dunking/hanging…” etc. so I made sure that the dunks were as ‘clean’ as possible - I was on a back court too, which made it even more strange.
But this lady was watching me for a little bit, gave no warnings etc. then came up to me and asked me to leave - I wasn’t going to argue, because she was ‘really’ worked up and was in bitch mode + there was a small crowd of people watching.
The management has a pretty bad rep and was very much the same years ago as well. Doesn’t matter they were charging $12 an hour anyway…
I found a ring at some tennis courts lol, better than nothing I suppose - I’m not sure if it’s regulated height, but it seemed close dunking tennis balls. Once the rain clears, I’ll go down if the court’s free.

Are you saying they charge you $12 an hour to play ball indoors? That’s fucking insane. You don’t have access to a gym that has a court in it? Like a 24 hr fitness or a rec center or something?
Yep it’s a joke, I don’t even know why I paid it - I was too keen I suppose.
The Rec Center/YMCA is next door to the stadium, (I went there first - used to spend time there as a kid) there’s a basketball ring but it’s packed up high - making room for the boxing ring, gymnastic mats etc. because it’s where they get the most revenue.
Only other places are schools, but they’re all fenced and the tennis court I mentioned earlier at a resort. If I could, I’d put one up myself but I just don’t have the space. None of the local gyms have them either - I live in a small city/town but there’s something like 4 major chain gyms and they’re all exactly the same (just different names) and run through a new owner every year or so because they go broke. Anyway I’m ranting here… sorry.

Damn man. Don’t know how it is Down Under but here in the States [at least Houston] a lot of churches have courts. Might be worth looking into.
Churches scare me…
It’s cool - went to the ring at the resort yesterday, it’s about a cm short of 10ft.
The court was taken so I couldn’t do much, got a very puzzled look when I asked if I could quickly measure the height. The school holidays are on, so it’s going to be fairly busy, so hopefully within the fortnight I can go work on technique etc.
