hahahaha could you imagine stacking up 30 plates in the gym to do box jumps? how pissed would everyone be that you took all the plates.

what kind of new phone did you get Flash?

Haha. Every time you went to get a sip of water your box would lose 6 inches. I got the new evo. It’s pretty cool but I’m not real tech savvy so I get frustrated trying to figure shit out. Gotta spend the rest of the day boxing shit up so I might take the rest of the week off and not get back to the gym 'til Tuesday or Wednesday. Speaking of, are there any good gyms in Portland? Oh yeah, I’m moving to Portland now, not Salem. gonna be living in the st. Johns district, if that means anything to anyone.

Thanks DF. I think you’re in danger of running out of plates faster than I am for semi-related reasons.

good looking box squats. I’m trying to get my gym to buy some damn boxes but havent heard anything back from my note in the suggestion box.

How’re the knees feeling? You get any jumping in lately? I’m looking forward to seeing you post some dunk videos in the Vert Thread and see the ensuing carnage lol

EDIT: Holy Shit! have you seen that dudes RMP thread? You have your very own special call out at the 5:25 mark! LMFAO!!![/quote]

lmao…

i’m callin out whiteflash’s box squat too, never knew they made 15" boxes in that “plyo box” line… most definitely an 18" box, would put money on it.

WHITEFLASH, STOP INFLATING UR BOX HEIGHT.

lol i don’t care just playing around, 405 x 5 on 15 or 18 is still strong.

ok im gone.

Honestly I think you’re right, think it is an 18" box. Was told it was 15" but they seem to go in 6" increments so that would make sense.

Well, got to Portland Monday night. Left Houston Saturday morning about 7:30 and made it to Tucson Arizona about midnight. Drive up to san Diego the next day, Hung with some fam for a few hours then hit the road again and stopped about 3:30 am in some random town about 100 miles outside Sacramento. Left the next morning about 10 and got to Portland about 9pm. All in all it was about 2,400 miles spread out over 15 hours a day driving. Felt fine doing it but I’m still exhausted. Took more out of me than I thought. Did some upper stuff on Wednesday, and played ball on Thursday. It was the first time I’ve played in probably 5 + months and I was dunking the ball like it was my birth right, but I’m sore as shit still, Haha. I’m super confident I’ll be back now, and I’ll definitely get some vids of different dunks this week. ME upper manana, and ill warm up with some ball. If anyone’s in there I’ll try and get a quick dunk vid. Y’all be good.

Still been lifting, just been so busy getting shit off the ground here haven’t really posted. Had to join a 24 up here, but it’s cool 'cause the courts are always packed and my knees are feeling way better, so I’ve been playing at least an hour of pick-up ball before I lift. Hasn’t affected strength too much. Anyway-

Last night played close to 2 hours of full court pick-up. Was pretty tired after.

Upper warm-up

Bench- barx ?, 95x5,135x5,185x3,205x3,225x3,230x3,[2-board]225x3,235x3, cg 225x2x1 with 3 sec pause

Seated shrugs-80’sx3x10 + Hammer curls w/ 2 sec pause at top-30’sx10,35’sx10,40’sx6

Pretty good workout. Tried taking several dunk vids last night but the court was packed so couldn’t get a good vid. Also started to feelkinda douchey asking someone to take a vid of me dunking over and over while people are running around, so I’ll get some later this week while it’s a little more tame. Here’s one from last week-

glad to see that you’re back updating your log. Nice dunk as well man.

2 hours of pick up ball? Dang man talk about a cardio session lol

Thanks man. Yeah, I felt fine doing it but I’m sore as shit right now, haha. Gonna play tonight, and I’ll try and get some vids as long as it’s not too packed. I dig it here 'cause every 24 I’ve been to the courts are always packed, but it’s hard to get vids. Dude, I stopped in SD for a few hours on my way up here. SD is badass. It’s expensive as hell, but I might try and make may way over there at some point.

Yeah man San Diego is a pretty nice place. There’s lots of stuff to do down here. Let me know if your back down this way sometime.

That’s awesome about the courts up there always having a run. At my gym there is hardly ever anyone playing so a pickup game is pretty rare. During the prime playing hours the gym is hosting Zumba classes and step aerobics stuff. It’s pretty lame

This is my entry in the calf-off. Greg gets it.

For sure man. Yeah, the last gym I went to that had a court was hit or miss. Sometimes there’d be some dudes that could play and other times it was deserted. From what I’ve seen it stays busy here, and they play pretty late. Last night I got done lifting a little after 10 and they were still running. They don’t have an exercise room at your gym? Taking up the court to do non-court related shit is gay. You should start shooting around in the middle of a zumba class. That would be awesome.

Bro, you sure you didnt move to NY, after watching your dunk vid, you look just like a guy who posterized me last week! I deserved it, I was doing dirty vet tricks to him all day (i.e. tapping his elbow on a jumpshot, poking him in the ribs or kidney shots when he was trying to post me up) I have to do what I have to when I play the faster more talented youngins.

How tall are you and do you got a vid of you dunking?

How’s Portland? I’m seriously considering a move there in the near future.

Haha, that’s what I call “old man YMCA game”. The old cats at the Y might’ve lost a step but they make up for it with wily vet tricks. And, it definitely wasn’t me. At 5’9" I ain’t posting up shit, haha.

5’9", 5’10" in shoes. Look up about 10 posts brother, there’s one there. The legs are coming back and I’m getting nicer dunks down, but the courts stay pretty busy and it’s hard/douchey to take vids while everyone’s running around.

Only been here about 3 weeks, but it’s pretty cool man. The job economy’s pretty shitty but the city itself is beautiful, and from what I’ve seen pretty reasonablly priced. What’s bringing you here if you don’t mind my asking?

Got to the gym tonight about 6:45 and played ball 'til a little after 9. That wasn’t consistent run ‘cause I lost the first game, but I shot some jumpers, got some dunks, etc… to stay loose. I’m diggin’ playing ball before lifting, and it hasn’t affected my strength too much. Anyway-

Need change of scenery. Need outdoors to be within reach. Like big cities but need nature, like really close by. And I like to be around down to earth people, which I hear Portland has plenty of. Plus, I love that coastline from OR to WA.

The affordable living (relative to where I am) is nice, too. I’m just worried about the job market because I’m in tech.

But I hate the rain and cold. I might sacrifice.

Well, part of the reason the economy’s in the shitter is this town’s full of emo hipsters that refuse to be gainfully employed. On the flipside there are some of the friendliest people in the world here. You’re in Oakland, right? This place is considerably cheaper than anywhere you’ll find in Cali. Man, I’m from Texas so you know I don’t dig cold, but it’s honestly not that bad. It’s snowed a bit the last 2 days but the temp hasn’t been lower than high 20’s since I’ve been here, and apperantly it rarely gets lower than that. I was also worried about the rain, but that’s blown out of proportion too. It drizzles just about daily but it’ doesn’t slow you down. I’m sure with what you do you’ll find work man. If you ever make it this way, hit me up.
