At the place I usually get it they added a g to make it homog. The first time I saw it (long ago) I thought somebody was messing with me.

Just realized that was an odd assumption on my part.

Strangest thing- I’ve never seen the movie, but I read IT way back on a King/Craven/Lovecraft kick when I was younger.

I’ve never had a dark chocolate pb cup. I didn’t mind the chocolate peanut butter in MRE’s though, come to think of it.

Made a few trades with jalapeno cheese spread to get my hands on some.

Trader Joe’s has organic dark chocolate peanut butter cups. My dad would always bring those home with the regular kind. Me and my older brother would eat em up.

Me either. Have you had these?

Way better than normal PB cups (imo).

Are they really any different outside of the shape? I remember the year people got mad because they were just lumps.

I feel like they have a higher PB to chocolate ratio, which I like. Similar taste (so your feeling of waxiness might be the same I guess), just more PB which I like.

I remember seeing some stuff too about the shapes when they came out. Sort of the ā€œyou had one jobā€ type of thing. I’m not too concerned with how the lump of sugar and chemicals I’m about to inhale looks though, haha.

That ratio is key. I like the ā€œbig cupsā€ for that reason. we used to buy the thins, thinking they were the ā€œbetterā€ option for snacks, but I’ve since moved to the minis as I realized the thins give you more chocolate than peanut butter.

American chocolate smells like vomit and you’ve all been conditioned to accept it as normal.

Alternative explanation: European vomit smells like chocolate and YOU’RE the weird one.

That’s cause it’s milk based instead of cocoa based.

Butyric acid added to US chocolates gives that vomit smell.

It is funny how chocolate is very different depending where in the world you live. When we moved to Australia from the Uk the chocolate tasted odd. Even the same brand Cadbury’s milk chocolate was different. Realised that due to the much higher temperatures in Oz they add stuff to stop it melting too quickly. Sugar content also differs country to country.

American milk chocolate or dark chocolate under 75% doesn’t really taste like chocolate IMO

I’m sure of it

I confess I enjoy small talk at the gym

Many go the gym solely for this reason.

I think it’s best when you have a great training partner. The conversations I have in the gym between sets with a friend/training partner are some of the deepest I have ever had.
