We just finished the tyrant series last night actually. It was awesome but was the worst culprit for the aforementioned audio issues

A job Iām applying to requires that I submit a non-academic writing sample. Iām going back and reading some of the stuff Iāve written and I actually think some of them are pretty good (or at least didnāt make me cringe) 
I tried in-ear monitors at band practice last night and fully understand why every professional artist uses them. Singing is so much easier when youāre not screaming to hear yourselfā¦

every time I set up for dumbbell incline presses, I pretend I look like this
I hold the dumbbells the exact same way and, for that brief moment, thatās exactly what I look like until it all falls apart.
I also confess that, if you arenāt eating these, you arenāt anabolic
I confess that I bought more protein powder even though I REALLY donāt need any. I barely use it these days.
And I confess that Iām unreasonably excited that itās July yet all the stores nearby are already carrying fall flavors. Bring on the pumpkin spice.

Iāve been using McCormacks pumpkin spice and a quarter tsp. vanilla extract in my mashed sweet potatoes.

But yeah, those PB lover cups are no joke. Iām upset my grocery store already stopped selling them to make room for Halloween candyā¦even though Iām excited to see Halloween candy already.
I was watching The Movies that Made Us season 2 and the episode on Back to the Future inspired me to watch the movie. I confess that I did not enjoy it at all

How can anyone NOT enjoy the 80s hijinks displayed in that most iconic movieā¦.
Maybe you didnāt get some of the references, it is a pretty dated movie, and like all pop culture, it plays to a specific point in time.

How can it stand with the other classics from the 80s like Terminator, Rocky IV etcā¦

I confess Iām still a child.
Iām working 2 12s in a row. I donāt get to spend much time with my kiddo on these days, so I recruit them into my meal prep so that we can get quality time together AND I can get ready for my next shift. My kid has done this for a while now, and theyāre dialed in to exactly what I need. Weāre a great team. One of the regular features in my work meals is ābackpack snacksā, which includes some dark chocolate, peanut butter cups, and a split of macadamia nuts and pecans.
Normally, my job for the kid is to sort through the nuts and find my 6 āwholeā ones of each. Basically ones that arenāt broken. I already had a big ziplock full of them in my backpack this time, so I tell the kid āYou donāt need to worry about the nuts this time: I already have them packed.ā
They reply āOh, so this time I donāt have to look for your nuts?ā
I do my best to keep my composure. āNo little one: today you do not need to look for my nutsā
If my wife rolled her eyes any harder, theyād have left her skull.
