Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 2)

I’m a gym rat, but since the lockdown, I’ve been adding to my garage gym, and I am convinced that the intensity and frequency has improved because of it. And…I get to choose my own music.

That has value

Same, I open the thread, see a conversation I want to get involved in, and realise it was 200 posts and 48 hours ago. Clearly need more screen time in my life.

Well… luckily if things keep going as is. My old fat ass won’t need to stay in this lean out phase as long as I expected.

For the record I’m not in violation of my no bulk no cut philosophy. Since I found myself at a point where just lifting at maintenance level caloric wise wasn’t the optimal choice.

Did you see Nasty Nate’s homemade power rack and concrete plates from last year?

He’s some kind of engineer too. He had a mono lift and a cool set up with pulleys to add band tension all built in.

Didn’t see that. Will have to look at it. I have a feeling I could come up with something - it’s just do I want to put the work into it or not.

There was some pretty cool home made equipment popping up in videos last year. Not just 2x4s in buckets, but old school, 2 ton, Paul Anderson looking stuff.

The link to dudes Instagram is in here

Not to dis anyone who used 2x4’s in buckets.

Still using it for a lot of my workouts! Mostly just for lighter dynamic work since I’m back at the gym for heavy stuff, but the second version rack I built last September is basically fully functional as a power rack. I’ve even done 600+ lb pin pulls off the safeties without them bending so I feel plenty safe squatting heavy in it.

@cyclonengineer I posted up an IGTV overview video of it that covers most of the general idea behind it, but hit me up if you need any other details.

Much of what is wrong with America health wise wrapped up neatly in one video.

I HATE craigslist.
I’m looking for an apartment and nearly got scammed twice.

Confession: I’m not actually angry. My first response was “this would be a cool research topic”

Confession 2: I’m using Exam week as an excuse to binge watch random shit instead of using my free time to do productive stuff

True… the epidemic of low thyroid issues is upsetting. :sob:

I’m here to confess that I’m really disappointed in algorithms and spam filters these days. I just got an email announcing the pre-sale of Korn concert tickets.

How? Why? This wouldn’t have ever happened back in the 80’s or 90’s.

Somewhere in town or somewhere else entirely?

Within 40min of where I’m living (in Florida)

Hmm… I’m not much help in either regard, other than to wish you luck. Find a decent place in a safe part of town.

Seems to be contagious. And just when we thought we had Palumboism under control too.

SAD!

Mornings are defo quieter than evenings at my local. 6am is even better than 7am generally I find.

I’m still getting viagra ads.

I feel like mass replying, “I have tons of legit roids at my disposal that cause and prolong such pleasurable erections your limp little dicks won’t be able to fathom even a fraction of in your most poignant wet dreams! Fuck off with that girly man shit!”.

This is all pure hyperbole, of course. Don’t take roids, kids.
