Well, I’m not moving to the UK….
I heard you guys have insane knife laws too. Like even a tiny pocket knife is a problem.

They’re easy enough to domesticate. Just leave a couple pumpkins out to go to seed.
Once they get friendly, invite one in “for dinner”.

Super Squats getting some love on YouTube today:
3.5 inch and over could land you a 5 year prison sentence, in reality it won’t and we do seem to have a problem with knifes, but the law doesn’t exactly make a difference here.
Unfortunately they’re not local to my house! I live by the sea though so probably time to start fishing my free meat fix (not a fish fan though!)
Quite inexpensive: you can find them under a buck
Yes, escape from poverty island (this is a running joke in econ circles) ![]()

Well, that’s not much doe at all.
Sainsbury’s stocks it - the brand is “Baking Buddy”
It’s also a not-very-funny running joke among people who voted against Brexit!
You can’t beat a classic! Great video as well. Alex actually hosted my second strongman competition: it’s been really cool to see him come into his own.
Running commentary more than anything isn’t it?
Fixed that for you
I spent three months in Oz and wanted to move there, was due to be there for a year, came back for my sister’s wedding, and met my now wife and never went back, I’d love to get the family over there for an extended stay but not sure my wife would ever agree to permanently move (to Oz or the US) did get her considering Canada and have been a couple of times but the cold was a deal breaker!
Reason why she would consider Canada vs Australia ? I only ask because we also looked at Canada and the US before we moved to Aus. My wife likes the idea of Canada too even through we have never been there. Canada is deff too cold for me, I moved half way round the planet to get away from that weather.
Less intense heat
she doesn’t cope well I the heat or cold, I’m happy in both, I don’t do well I’m grey and mizzle, but we already live here
Another major factor was she’s very close to family and getting back to the UK is much less of an ordeal. (Her parents are about to move 3 hours down the to be in the same town as us, so definitely screwed now!).
10 years ago I’d say a sound decision but we’re definately seeing more tropical like weather in summer across southern Australia, fewer intense hot days. It seems like eons ago when we’d having heatwaves, but in recent years 1-2 days max of temps 40deg C then it drops off. Always wanted to visit Canada… one day…!
Yes I agree. I came here 19 years ago during a drought, where summer temps were high and water restrictions were crazy. Fast forward and now we see much cooler summers (hot days are 35 vs 46) and seasons much more like europe.
I confess you guys are now injecting doubt into my 100% commitment to global warming.
Wait, I can still fall back to climate change.
