I like to get a little high and watch Fantastic Planet in French. The colors, weird animation, it just all goes together.
Iāll wear my pajamas to the gym when I do morning workouts.
If someone gives my kids some toy set with a kerpajillion pieces, Iāll slowly and secretly throw the parts away.
I like manticures.
I donāt like Christmas.
I do this if I am lazy and sleep in my underclothes.
You must have gotten lumps of coal for all of your Christmases. Surely you have been naughtyā¦..(Man⦠that sounded gay asf)
Whatās wrong with manicures?
I donāt have an issue with Christmas, I take issue with the sudden influx of mandatory social events and travel
ironically, large house parties were my favourite thing in primary school
Are you flirting with me?
Cause that would be super.
Most guys think itās weird.
Back in the day, a lady I used to get haircuts from, and that I had a good relationship with, talked me into getting a manicure.
The number one thing that stood out to me was that the thing they do to your cuticles made them sore in an annoying way, so that was that for me.
Facials though, that one time at band campā¦
(ā¦just kidding about the band camp, because Iām talking about a salon facial, 'ya dirty fcuks, get your mind outta the gutter)
I had a facial beforeā¦once⦠(not that kind), theyāre pretty awesome.
I confess that I have VERY poor flexibility, and I believe it is a major contributor to ongoing injuries which have been hampering my training, especially over the last 18 months or so (elbow and then shoulder injuries).
I further confess that I have been meaning to do something about this since forever and never actually done anything at all.
So I did a 10 minute āstretch classā on Peloton this weekend. And of course it has made zero difference whatsoever as you would expect from doing ONE class ONCE⦠but anyway since Iām not miraculously pain-free as of this morning, Iām seriously ready to dismiss all stretching/mobility/flexibility whatever as being Goop-level bullshit.
Yes, I KNOW Iām being stupid, butā¦
Excellent confession!
I confess that I spent a great many years exercising the same philosophy of non-compliance.
I stretch pretty religiously now, though no where near to the extent I should. Even half-assing it has helped, though.
Thatās my master plan here. Itās the training equivalent of manifesting!
Look into club swinging. Itās not stretching per se, but it really helps for shoulders. If youāre worried about āstreet credā, I think Louie Simmons was a big proponent of light (Indian clubs) club swinging for shoulder prehab/rehab. Chris Duffin sells something he calls a ShoulderRok (very expensive I think). Personally, I swear by a guy called Mark Wildman (look him up on YT).
Will also do wonders for grip strength.
If you have the classic overly tight hip flexors from excessive sitting, the PsoRite is absolutely, 100% awesome (@EmilyQ). @Dani_Shugart wrote something about it on TN I think. I donāt consider that stretching either, but I admit no strength is built from doing it.
The PsoRite is Ā£110?? I guess that probably works out more cost-effective than a few physio sessions, but thatās mighty expensive for a simple piece of plastic! Have you used it?
A cheap little plastic dumbbell with this shape works pretty well.

If you have a kettlebell, this little trick will do the same thing. I got this tip from @freshyfresh a while back.
Yes. And for me it 100% has helped a lot. It costs $80 in the US. That Wildman guy had serious injuries, and he said instead of having to go to the physio 2x a week, the PsoRite did a good enough job he only has to go maybe once a month. (iirc)
Basically, you need something with an āedgeā that substitutes for someone sticking their (straightened) fingertips into that area and working it around.
I confess Iām considering getting a BMW for my next car.
Not because I want the car, but because i want to do the thing where Iām too busy texting to notice the green light, then i test my 0-100 speed. And i want to do that at every red light.
You have to drive a beemer to do that, right?
I confess I totally read this wrong at first
I think an Audi or Jag would also be acceptable.
