….I’m confused. Wouldn’t this be unfortunately?
Oh typo lol ![]()
But at the same time, if I were to get into both schools, it’d be a hard decision
Some academic confessions
- I am proud of my BS ability. I managed to touch on “important points” about readings I did not do
- I love being the ideas person. I’m in a group project and since I came up with the idea for the project, the other members have agreed to do a majority of the painful data work
- outsourcing is amazing. One of my tasks is to convert and download data. It’s a big pain. Well… I happen to have 3 groups of CS ppl willing to help. I’ll have data by tomorrow
Is that from Costco? Please say it is so that I can get it for myself.
Walmart. Lotta good low carb stuff there amazingly
Walmart?! That makes it easier!
I’m going to looking for that in my nearby Walmart the next time I go shopping.
Definitely dude! They make an orange chicken too, but mine didn’t carry it. Whole lot of stuff from that company
What’s the total carb count? I kind of think net carbs are a gimmick.
I am an absolute convert to net carbs, haha. But 16g per serving. Very low saturated fat too, which is awesome, because usually that is the trade off.
I also confess that, though I don’t do cheat meals anymore, I will soon make an exception
Speaking of favorite food finds. This is one of mine
Half the box is 40 carbs (gross) and 50g protein. Aldi for the win.
Wow. Thats the highest potassium content per serving than I’ve ever seen on anything!
The Simply Nature brand does carry some good stuff. ![]()
One of my proudest accomplishments in life was when my wife and I were both in college. She was working a full time job to pay for it, trying to spend time with me while I was home visiting from my school, and still doing school. Got a bit overwhelmed, and had a situation where she had to write a paper for an art history class by midnight, but also had to work a shift.
Being a good fiancee at the time, I offered to write the paper for her. (Any teacher, excuse my blatant academic moral failure). I was supposed to write about the expressionism of some paintings about flowers. Must not of been famous paintings, because when I googled the name nothing came up.
So, I proceeded to spew absolute BS. Just 3 pages of emotive, expresses adjectives without actually saying anything specific about anything, writing about a painting I have never seen, with my absolute zero amount of experience in anything art related.
She got a 97% on the paper, highest grade in her class. I remind her of this feat approximately 3x a year.
This was literally me in high school having to write an essay about this stupid thing
They published my thing in the school newspaper and had it up on display like all year long. All I did was google what colors meant, and spewed utter virtue-signaling bullshit. The art teacher was like “Oh mah gawd, this iz so insightfulll”; it was at this moment I knew all art was bullshit.
(for the record, I chose this painting because we were to replicate a famous work, and I knew I could trace the fuck out of this one lol).
Masterful.
And, while I find art and creativity truly moving, I think there is just so much satisfaction in the act of creating something or building something, I also think 90% of art out there is a complete scam for tax evasion purposes lol
Honestly though, as someone who is more verbally inclined, it makes me sad that the humanities are virtually useless and only getting more so
Maths is cool, but it’ll never be as natural as history and writing
I BSed my way through AP art history (the teacher was cool at least) and took the exam on a whim.
Multiple choice (easy) and 4 essays talking about more modern pieces (which was weird considering it was an art history class)
BSed my way through the essays with a bunch of nonsense - scored a 5 and got 6 college credits (2 classes and met my world cultures and consecutive liberal arts class requirements in one go).
Knowing things gets you far, knowing how to BS your way through stuff gets you further.
Meh, perhaps. Depends on what route you want to take with a lot of it. I find a lot of government and business folks I’ve talked to had some sort of humanities degree, and my wife’s pulling 6 figures at 25 with a criminal justice degree so… idk, I think if you are able to take a humanities degree and combine some people skills, you can find a decent position.
Edit: and I feel you on the maths VS history. I did Poli sci for undergrad, but currently work with nuclear reactors. Both are cool, but I can honestly say I have never gotten excited about anything engineering, while I can ramble for hours perfectly entertained about the political structures of WW II England lol
Start with an easy one. How fast is this dog moving?

Hah! Trick question: motion is impossible!
