I confess this is my first confession.
I confess that I don’t really like training, but I need to be stronger.
I confess that I can pretty easily hit my nutrition goals for any given day.
I confess that at the end of said day, I cannot stop myself from drinking and undoing all my good work.
I confess I am lazy. Very lazy.
Combine these two together and go to sleep before you start drinking.
Emerging strategies…
I confess I drank a litre of nonfat lactose free milk this morning. This stuff is so overpriced in stores but we get it free from dining services. Had to take advantage. No regrets, even though it’s liquid calories and I’m going over allotment
Milk tastes amazing.
I confess reading this really makes me happy.
I confess I don’t understand people who enjoy training.
I confess I was just wondering if @supercardrives has hit a two plate bench yet. I really hope he did or is still working on it.
Too many people swing through here, make a big first impression and then vanish into a soft puffy cloud of what I can only imagine to be a sweet whipped topping of some sort.
I REALLY miss this kid
But part of me thinks that @supercardrives really DID do Deep Water…and it was too much
You think that’s why he hasn’t come back? Couldn’t handle it and bowed out?
That bear mode thread was waayyyy before my time- I’ll dig through it
Me sharing my thoughts on why he didn’t come back would be totally not cool, haha, but that’s what I WANT to think happened. It would be a nice story.
If you’re a mechanic or work with your hands, give yourself a billion pats on the back, nah actually a trillion.
They probably have a lot of time of their hands.
I confess that I got unreasonably excited when, while planning for snacks for my strongman competiton, I remembered I had 2 boxes of Finibars in my basement that I bought on a whim.
That solved my planning crisis
I confess that I want to get my dad an air fryer for Father’s Day, but I do not know what brand. My reasoning for getting him one is that an air fryer should enhance the texture of his favorite frozen seafood that he likes to eat on the weekend.
Anyone have any recommendations? Also is my speculation about the texture thing correct?
I saw potatoes advertised with “30% less carbohydrates” in the supermarket today. I was so confused at what I’m looking at, that I just had to take a picture. It was called “the light potatoe”.
I’ve noticed a lot of these marketing schemes but this one is truly amazing. A close second is the smoked salmon that is advertised as the protein salmon and stored next to the regular salmon. The amazing feature of that product is that it somehow contains a little bit less protein than the regular smoked salmon.
Also we have a kind of cheese that is called “Harzer cheese” after a mountain region. That stuff has been around forever. It contains zero carbs, zero fat and 30g protein. Naturally there’s meanwhile a company marketing their cheese as a special protein cheese. It’s the same as the age old Harzer, they just charge double.
I recommend Ninja brand for an air fryer.
Seafood in the air fryer is great. I haven’t tried fish in it, but shrimp and scallops come out perfect. The air fryer sort of sears them.
I use a simple garlic lime marinade on shrimp when I use the air fryer.
How does this work?
Different types of potatoes have different calories/ carbs.
It’s like advertising a berry as “30% less carbohydrates” because it’s a strawberry and has less carbs than blueberries
I haven’t tried a higher quality one, but was gifted a cheap air fryer (from my son, lol) and love it pretty well. You are correct about texture.
A 30% smaller potatoe would have 30% less carbs, no?
