I used to go into remakes thinking okay they are probably going to fuck this up but nowadays I just skip them because it’s closer to: they are going to shit down out throats and then try tell you are fucked up one for thinking it tastes like shit. It’s just shit, no need for hiding behind arcs or character development, themes/metaphors or whatever… Just shit

I confess I thought Rocky 2 was better than the original - Police Academy as well I think. But they also got rubbish by about number 5 or 6 or whatever.

Not sure about that one (Rocky is better IMO but I am also a big fan of the first 4 - even some of the later ones) but they don’t always stuff it up, that’s definitely true.

Any sequel/prequel released today just has a high chance of not only being terrible - which has always been true IMO - but an outright insult lol
