That’s why they can’t be trusted
The Mrs was unimpressed, which just means more for me, haha. Gonna have to go online for 100% it looks like.
Pretty sure I’ve purchased 100% from Trader Joe’s.
The sweet (pun intended) spot for me is between 80 to 90%.
add: googled, it’s called Montezuma’s/Absolute Dark
Artificial sweeteners are the worst.
Finibars are the only thing I buy that have artificial sweetener. Give me sugar, or give me death.
That’s a good tune.
Having that in my head would mean I lead a very interesting life…
Sweet! Our Traver Joe’s is insane right now. Have to wait outside for hours to get in.
Edit: Realized I didn’t articulate my issue well. I can find 100% bars, but I am looking for something like this at 100%

Easier to bring/eat at work
Same. Pretty sure we can thank covid and TikTok for this.
Oh man, I could write at least two pages of text about chocolate, the marked differences between Venezuelan and Ivory Coast beans, the enchanting sourness and bitterness of a 99% piece and so on. I freakin’ love chocolate. Not sugary monstrosities labeled as such but actual chocolate, bars between 80 and 100%.
Montezuma’s Absolute Black is the point of no return. 100% cocoa solids, with 7% of those cocoa nibs. Embrace the darkness.
Exactly!!! My favourite are the varieties that have a subtle hint of vanilla and fruitiness
there are a couple of Japanese brands that make amazing matcha dusted dark chocolates- the matcha adds an amazing depth of flavour.
I’m too cheap to buy good chocolate for myself, but sometimes family friends (or people trying to bribe my dad) send over really good stuff
Not for prolonged periods of time. It’s only the variations of the parts with the 3 rising notes and the low note.
Aldi has german import chocolate for very little money. I think it is called mosher roth, their dark stuff is good. I think it is like $2 for 5 bars.
Anything like this?

Bars I can get.
This is what they look like. I’m no expert though in chocolate, and I think they are cheaper at Aldi. Maybe even a dollar item.
Around 90% is my sweet spot - I was literally just talking with a coworker about this on the way out. Milk chocolate is gross. The high 99’s aren’t bad per se, but the flavor is slightly too intense for my liking.
Just came back from Trader Joe’s. Montezuma 100% now comes with almonds and sea salt. You can taste the salt; the almonds give it crunch, but the chocolate overwhelmed any almond taste for me.
$2.49 for the plain 100%; $2.69 for the almonds/sea salt version.
add: it’s offered on Amazon at an outrageous!!! markup
Very cool. If they make 100% I am in.
not bad at all!
Hershey’s Kisses.
Flame free, choco-snobs.
The Natty Lite of chocolate.
So says the dude who soft flamed me for being a big fan of Ben & Jerry’s Mint Chocolate Cookie ice cream.
