Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

I have effectively permanent discoloration around my hips from a decade of belt use. And I still get the occasional bite, haha. It’s how you know it’s working! Congrats on the belt. I wish I had grabbed one from day 1, if I had to do it all over again.

My belt is a $25 one off amazon. Suede leather and “prebroken in” so it never bit me.

Sorry to hear that. Gyms have been closed for two stretches here (New Mexico.) Movie theaters and all other entertainment venues have been closed for 11 months and counting.

I feel your pain… Haven’t been to a gym for nearly 11 months and don’t have a barbell

I confess I’m feeling increasingly left behind and am jealous of everyone with access to proper weights

that said, I’ve never appreciated exercise as much. today I had to get up at zero dark thirty for a conference call to Korea and I felt like shit all morning. but then I had ballet class, and madame absolutely savaged us, and I could really feel the kettlebell swings, crunches, and six varieties of push-ups from the day before, and you know what? the headache and soreness and crankiness left.

Ballet is no joke!

The only session I’ve ever regretted was the one I did the morning after arriving back from a trip from China the night before. And only because I managed to drop a barbell and a plate on my foot and stub my toe in the first 10 min

But I won’t get shamed for using a belt that’s pre- broken in right?

My belt is prebroken and everyone at my gym wants my belt :sunglasses:

My first belt was a gift from someone at my gym in Shanghai. A trainer at that same gym also gave me a pair of straps and wrist wraps… lost the straps though

Same!

I confess that the longer I’m out of the gym, the more I doubt whether I will ever get back to where I was.

I looked at my arms and realized that I’ve lost my vascularity- it makes me sad, I can’t even blame water retention this time
